Alguersuari learning from Schumacher
March 31st, 2010
Jaime Alguersuari says he learned from his race-long fight with Michael Schumacher in Australia, despite eventually being passed by the seven-time world champion and missing out on his first Formula 1 point in 11th place. The 20-year-old Spaniard held Schumacher at bay for 12 laps after the first round of pitstops, and then for another 22 after the second stops, before Schumacher passed him with five laps to go and scored the final point in 10th place. Though disappointed not to score, Alguersuari says battling with Schumacher for so long in just his 11th grand prix taught him a great deal about working with the 2010 tyres

Mercedes GP confident of big step forward
March 31st, 2010
Mercedes GP believes it is still on course to deliver the step forward in performance it needs to get Nico Rosberg and Michael Schumacher fighting for the world title later in the year. The team admitted in the build-up to the season that it would not start the year battling at the front of the field – but was optimistic its development push would allow it to join the world championship battle later in the year. And although the team has failed to finish on the podium in the first two races, Mercedes-Benz motorsport boss Norbert Haug says the team’s ambitions for the 2010 campaign have not changed at all.

The Italian has returned for a full season of F1 racing for the first time since 2007, having spent the past years as a test driver for Force India. Liuzzi replaced Giancarlo Fisichella at the team in the latter part of last season and was confirmed as Adrian Sutil’s team-mate for 2010.
Junqueira gets Fazzt seat for Indy
March 31st, 2010
Bruno Junqueira will return to the Indianapolis 500 with the new Fazzt team this May, a year after giving up his space on the grid for team-mate Alex Tagliani. The pair were also team-mates at Conquest Racing at Indy last year, with Junqueira securing a last minute deal for a second entry.
