Pocono Safety Improvements Nearly Done

LONG POND, Pa. — Construction work on a number of safety improvements at Pocono Raceway — including the installation of a SAFER barrier in the infield and a catch fence along the backstretch — is expected to be complete by the end of the year.
AFS, Andretti End Partnership

Andretti Autosport plans to field multiple entries in Firestone Indy Lights again in 2011, while AFS Racing will continue in Firestone Indy Lights and will explore additional opportunities in the IndyCar Series.
Rossi says shoulder progressing well

Valentino Rossi says he is progressing well following the shoulder surgery he underwent earlier this month. The Italian rider, who struggled with his shoulder since injuring it in a training accident in April, has been recovering since he underwent surgery following the end of the season

FIA reveals official 2011 entry list

Formula 1′s ruling body, the FIA, has published the 2011 entry list, with six teams yet to complete their line-ups for next season. Red Bull, McLaren, Ferrari, Mercedes, Sauber and Lotus had their line-ups confirmed, with Sauber’s new signing Sergio Perez the only new driver on the list.

Solberg stars in Oslo event

Petter Solberg once again performed to a sell-out crowd at his Solberg Extreme Motorshow in Oslo last weekend. Solberg was joined by his brother Henning and numerous other World Rally Championship stars, including Dani Sordo and Mikko Hirvonen for the Race of Champions-style event. Solberg’s countryman Mads Ostberg eventually won the event in his Subaru Impreza WRC infront of 15,000 fans
