Simoncelli says size causing fuel issue
March 31st, 2011
Marco Simoncelli has played down the chances of him running out of fuel before the end of grands prix, but admitted he has to run a leaner engine setting in order to make it to the flag. It emerged in Qatar that the tall Italian was having fuel consumption issues, and Simoncelli acknowledged that this was blunting his Gresini Honda’s straightline performance. “At the end of the race I arrived with fuel in the tank, but the problem is that to arrive with fuel in the tank I have to go with a more lean fuel set-up, so the bike can push less,” he said.
Lorenzo: ‘No limit’ to expectations
March 31st, 2011
Jorge Lorenzo says he goes into his home event at Jerez this weekend totally open-minded about his prospects after his surprise second place at Losail. Now he believes anything could happen at Jerez, where he won last year
Stoner: Jerez will reveal true picture

MotoGP points leader Casey Stoner believes this weekend’s Spanish Grand Prix at Jerez will give a true indication of Honda’s strength. The 2007 world champion dominated much of winter testing and took victory in the opener in Qatar a fortnight ago. Date change for Rally of Scotland

The RACMSA Rally of Scotland was due to take place from 14-16 October but will now move one week forward to 7-9 October after a further update to the calendar by series officials. The move follows repeated requests from parties in Scotland associated with the running of the event, who cited an insufficient number of volunteer personnel being available for the 14-16 October weekend as a major contributory factor.

March 31st, 2011
