Keselowski managed to get his Chase points advantage up to 14 after the carnage of October’s Talladega race , but has since seen Johnson catch up and sweep ahead with victories at Martinsville and Texas .

by Jason Lofing on November 7th, 2012
Dustin Montgomery outlasted Jared Crawford and Chad Laughton in a one lap shootout at Texas Motor Speedway to earn his first career NASCAR iRacing.com Pro Series victory. Montgomery took advantage of a mistake by Joey Brown, who spun his tires while restarting from the lead with only six laps remaining in the online race. Crawford battled back from some tough luck on restarts to claim the runner-up spot, while Laughton followed-up his win at Daytona with a third place. Danny Hansen and Richard Dusett also rebounded from tough outings at Daytona, finishing fourth and fifth respectively. Montgomery started on pole and led 55 of 167 laps en route to the victory. Early on, Montgomery looked to have the car to beat as he jumped out to a comfortable lead. However, [...]

Marquez looking to learn from Pedrosa
November 7th, 2012
Marc Marquez expects sharing the Honda garage with 21-time MotoGP winner Dani Pedrosa will prove massively beneficial to his bid to acclimatise quickly. The newly-crowned Moto2 champion will move into Honda’s works squad for the 2013 season , replacing the departing Casey Stoner. Marquez is not underestimating the challenge of stepping up into the ‘different world’ of the premier class, and competing against the ‘scary’ form not just of Pedrosa but also this year’s champion Jorge Lorenzo

November 7th, 2012
Valentino Rossi is readying himself for a ‘strange weekend’ in which he will conclude a disappointing two years with Ducati’s MotoGP squad. The seven-time champion’s move onto the Desmosedici was supposed to be a dream marriage, but the past two seasons have been marked by frustration rather than success. Having never failed to win at least one race in his previous 11 seasons in grand prix racing, Rossi can boast just three podiums – two coming in the wet – in 34 races for Ducati.

Fuel equipment likely caused Vettel issue
November 7th, 2012
Renault believes a calibration problem with fuelling equipment is the most likely explanation as to why Sebastian Vettel did not have enough petrol in his car for qualifying for the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Vettel was stripped of his third place grid slot and thrown to the back of the grid at the Yas Marina circuit after post-qualifying checks discovered he only had 850ml of fuel on board his car after Q3 – whereas the rules demand a minimum of one-litre be present for a sample. At the time, both Red Bull and Renault were convinced that enough fuel had gone into the car for his final run, so neither could offer a clear answer in Abu Dhabi about why there was not sufficient present for the FIA tests.
