But Lorenzo sees no reason why their partnership cannot continue into a third year
MotoGP home win like a movie – Lorenzo
May 2nd, 2010

Aoyama hits out at MotoGP testing restrictions
March 31st, 2010
250cc champion Hiroshi Aoyama says the testing limits now in place in MotoGP are unfair on rookie riders, and that he will not have a chance to shine in the opening races. Pre-season testing has been reduced to just six days for the race riders this year, with rookies allowed an extra three days.

However with the Kino team hitting financial problems, MZ and West have now been awarded the final spot on the grid

Rossi continues to dominate testing
February 26th, 2010
Valentino Rossi remained unstoppable at the end of the second pre-season MotoGP test at Sepang, beating his 2009 pole time at the Malaysian Grand Prix venue. The world champion has now been fastest on all four winter test days to date – all of which have taken place at Sepang – and his 2m00.271s lap today was 0.8s quicker than he had managed yesterday. With Rossi’s team-mate Jorge Lorenzo sidelined by a hand injury at present, Casey Stoner was unsurprisingly his main rival.

Spies moves to MotoGP with Yamaha’s satellite squad Tech 3 this year after taking the World Superbike crown at the first attempt in 2009. He has already made several wildcard appearances in MotoGP, and finished seventh in last year’s season finale at Valencia on his maiden appearance on a Yamaha in the series
Moto2 attracts big entry for debut
January 27th, 2010
The inaugural Moto2 championship will see a full field of 39 bikes, with another two entries waiting in the wings as reserves. The new series, in which chassis choice is free but all competitors run identical Honda engines, was over-subscribed when entries were first opened last year, and has remained at capacity despite Aprilia’s last-minute decision to pull the plug on its chassis project. Moto2′s predecessor 250cc averaged 25 entries in its final season.

Hector Barbera delighted his home crowd at Valencia by winning the last ever 250cc race, as Hiroshi Aoyama took the title. In a fairly exciting final race of the class, before the new Moto2 series takes over next year, Marco Simoncelli threw away all chances to snatch the title from Aoyama when he crashed from the lead late in the race. The Japanese, who only needed an 11th place in case the Italian won, fought hard for the leading positions in the early laps before running his Scot Honda wide into the gravel on lap ten and rejoining right down in 11th place.
