    Jason is 21 years old and was born and raised in Elk Grove. California. A big time NASCAR fan, he hasn’t missed a race on Sunday in years. Lofing is also a huge San Fransisco Giants fan and tries to take in at least a couple games a year. Other than sim racing, his biggest (and far more expensive!) hobby is photography. Although he is rather new to sim racing, Lofing has already accomplished some pretty impressive results, qualifying for the 2011 iRacing Oval Pro Series in Season 1, 2011, winning the inaugural Landon Cassill Qualifying Challenge and finishing runner-up in the second one.

    Tim Terry, aka the voice of Maritime stock car racing, fell in love with sim racing in 2004 after he joined the Sim Racing Network crew as a pit reporter. From October 2004 to SRNtv’s closure in June 2007, he’s covered prestigious races and leagues such as the Online 500, FLM Fall 400, Real Racing Online and the DMP Racing League – each as the lead broadcaster for the company. At the same time the wheels started to turn in another direction as he began announcing stock car racing locally. Terry became the assistant announcer at Scotia Speedworld in May 2007 and took over full duties in May 2009 when long-time voice Mike Kaplan retired from the track. Terry also became the series voice of the Parts For Trucks Pro Stock Tour in ’09 and continues to hold down both posts in 2011. He has also announced races for the Pro All Stars Series, Atlantic Open Wheel and Maritime League of Legends tours and has called races at six different Atlantic Canadian tracks. Rosenqvist to chase European title

Felix Rosenqvist has expanded his schedule for the year to incorporate a tilt at the FIA European Formula 3 Championship alongside his F3 Euro Series programme. The 20-year-old Swede, who confirmed in January that he would remain with Mucke Motorsport for another Euro Series assault, will also now compete in the British F3 rounds at Pau and Spa, which count towards the European Championship as well

Sainz takes points lead with win

Carlos Sainz Jr utterly dominated the third and final race of the British Formula 3 Championship weekend at Monza, winning by almost 16 seconds. The Red Bull junior driver swept into the lead from pole position and continued to build on his lead, sometimes adding as much as 1.5s per lap in soaking wet conditions with his Carlin Dallara-Volkswagen.

Pre-weekend British Formula 3 International Series points leader Jack Harvey has been penalised for a chicane infringement in the first race at Monza. Harvey’s penalty of 10 seconds drops him from fifth to seventh in the results, and means that he drops to third in the points behind Jazeman Jaafar. The Briton was trailing race winner Carlos Sainz Jr by one point in the standings, but has now fallen to five adrift of the Spaniard and two behind Jaafar

Carlos Sainz Jr scored his maiden British Formula 3 International Series win in a bizarre race at Monza. Rain just before the start meant a wet race was declared, but everyone began the green-flag lap on slick tyres. They then all pitted for rain tyres at the end of it, meaning the race started from the pitlane.

Carlos Sainz Jr topped qualifying for the British Formula 3 International Series at Monza and will start tomorrow afternoon’s race from pole position – his first in the series. But while the Spaniard was fastest overall, Puerto Rican Felix Serralles has also taken his maiden pole and will top the grid for this afternoon’s race, which is based on second-fastest times. Sainz’s Carlin Dallara-Volkswagen and Serralles’s Fortec Motorsport Dallara-Mercedes monopolise the two front rows, which each adding a second place to their poles.

British talent Jack Harvey secured both pole positions in qualifying for the opening round of the British Formula 3 International Series at Oulton Park. Reigning Formula Renault UK champion Alex Lynn took fastest time at Oulton Park by almost half a second in free practice for the opening round of the British Formula 3 International Series. The Essex teenager, who is making his British F3 debut this weekend, set a scorching run of three consecutive laps quicker than anyone else three-quarters of the way through the 55-minute session. The closest rival to Lynn’s Fortec Motorsport Dallara-Mercedes was the identical car of Puerto Rican team-mate Felix Serralles, who is making his race debut in F3 (Lynn competed in the European F3 Open Winter Series rounds at Paul Ricard).

Korean tyre manufacturer Hankook will be the tyre partner to the Formula 3 Euro Series from this year. Hankook is the official tyre supplier of the DTM after securing a deal from the start of last season and the Korean company will supply its Ventus racing tyres to the F3 Euro Series field from this year. “After having been chosen as the exclusive tyre partner for DTM, we are delighted to now also become the tyre partner to the most important junior series in European motorsport, the Formula 3 Euro Series.” said Manfred Sandbichler, Hankook’s European motorsport boss

Brands Hatch has returned to the F3 Euro Series calendar after a year away. The British circuit was not initially named on the nine-round Euro Series calendar, but was included on the schedule published by the revived FIA Formula 3 European Championship last month. Felix Rosenqvist underlined his status as pre-season favourite by topping a second F3 Euro Series test within the space of a week at a wet and dry Barcelona circuit. The Swede has gone fastest during two days of official running at Valencia last weekend, and was again the pace-setter on both days for Mucke Motorsport as the cars and drivers moved up the Spanish coast. Rosenqvist’s test-topping time of 1m39.634s came on the opening morning and enabled him to head his team-mate Pascal Wehrlein by 0.397s

Reigning Formula Renault UK champion Alex Lynn ended the Carlin domination of British Formula 3 Championship pre-season testing by going fastest on the Silverstone Grand Prix circuit for Fortec. Lynn was quickest in each of the three sessions on the final day of the test in his Dallara-Mercedes, setting three laps good enough to set the overall pace in the opening session and topping the day in 1m53.530s. Further encouragement for Fortec came as his Dutch team-mate Hannes van Asseldonk chased Lynn up the order to third best on the day.

Luis Sa Silva will return to the F3 Euro Series in a car run by Prema Powerteam this year. Sa Silva, 21, was last year’s Formula Pilota China runner-up and raced in German F3 the previous season – also making a one off Euro Series appearance at Hockenheim.
