    19 years old, Jameson Spies lives in Quartz Hill, California. He grew-up surrounded by racing. His mother raced late models throughout Southern California while his father built and setup the car. Not surprisingly, Jameson began racing go-karts at the age of 13, and is now racing Spec Trucks at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale. He has a passion about all forms of racing and hopes to make a career out of it.

    Jason is 21 years old and was born and raised in Elk Grove. California. A big time NASCAR fan, he hasn’t missed a race on Sunday in years. Lofing is also a huge San Fransisco Giants fan and tries to take in at least a couple games a year. Other than sim racing, his biggest (and far more expensive!) hobby is photography. Although he is rather new to sim racing, Lofing has already accomplished some pretty impressive results, qualifying for the 2011 iRacing Oval Pro Series in Season 1, 2011, winning the inaugural Landon Cassill Qualifying Challenge and finishing runner-up in the second one.

    Tim Terry, aka the voice of Maritime stock car racing, fell in love with sim racing in 2004 after he joined the Sim Racing Network crew as a pit reporter. From October 2004 to SRNtv’s closure in June 2007, he’s covered prestigious races and leagues such as the Online 500, FLM Fall 400, Real Racing Online and the DMP Racing League – each as the lead broadcaster for the company. At the same time the wheels started to turn in another direction as he began announcing stock car racing locally. Terry became the assistant announcer at Scotia Speedworld in May 2007 and took over full duties in May 2009 when long-time voice Mike Kaplan retired from the track. Terry also became the series voice of the Parts For Trucks Pro Stock Tour in ’09 and continues to hold down both posts in 2011. He has also announced races for the Pro All Stars Series, Atlantic Open Wheel and Maritime League of Legends tours and has called races at six different Atlantic Canadian tracks. Terry can be heard online at WebRacingNetwork.com, RLMtv.com and OLRtv.com covering sim races. He also makes occasional appearances on PSRtv.com.     Allen was born in West Palm Beach, Florida but grew up in Atlanta and attended Georgia College and State University where he received a BS in Information Systems. Currently a resident of Albany, GA, he started sim racing in 2008 while in college when iRacing was first released to the public. Seven-time World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb has won the Rally Driver of the Year prize at this year’s AUTOSPORT Awards. The award was collected by fellow WRC legend Ari Vatanen as Loeb was unable to attend. “His talent is phenomenal,” said Vatanen of Loeb.

John Bolster Award: Chip Ganassi

Leading American team boss Chip Ganassi has received a John Bolster Award at the AUTOSPORT Awards in recognition of his squad’s stunning achievements throughout US motorsport. This year was one of Ganassi’s most successful yet, as his team won the Indianapolis 500 and IndyCar title with Dario Franchitti, claimed the Daytona 500 and Brickyard 400 in NASCAR with Jamie McMurray, and won a third Grand-Am championship with Scott Pruett and Memo Rojas, as well as taking Juan Pablo Montoya to his second win in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series

McLaren’s F-duct has won the Pioneering and Innovation Award at tonight’s AUTOSPORT Awards. The ingenious device, operated by the drivers covering a slot inside the cockpit, temporarily ‘stalled’ the airflow over the McLaren’s rear wing, giving a straightline speed boost, before the downforce was restored for corners. McLaren’s rivals were soon hurrying to copy the F-duct, but the Woking squad had taken a handy early advantage with the system, which was one of the most distinctive Formula 1 design innovations of recent years

Kamui Kobayashi underlined his status as a Formula 1 fan favourite by winning the AUTOSPORT.com Rookie of the Year Award at the AUTOSPORT Awards this evening. Kobayashi defeated fellow F1 rookies Vitaly Petrov and Nico Hulkenberg, plus GP2 stars Jules Bianchi and Sam Bird, and World Rally convert Kimi Raikkonen, in the Rookie voting. Having tantalised F1 with two spectacular appearances for Toyota at the end of 2009, the Japanese driver lived up to his promise in his first full season with Sauber this year.

Jason Plato has been named National Driver of the Year at the AUTOSPORT Awards in London. Plato, who won his second British Touring Car Championship title this year, beat the likes of his season-long rivals Matt Neal and Gordon Shedden and British Formula 3 champion Jean-Eric Vergne to win the award. “It’s a very tough championship to win,” said Plato, who received the Paul Warwick Trophy from three-time World Touring Car champion Andy Priaulx.

British Club Driver: Tom Blomqvist

Formula Renault UK champion Tom Blomqvist has been named as British Club Driver of the Year in the opening presentation of this evening’s AUTOSPORT Awards. The British-born 16-year-old, son of rally legend Stig Blomqvist, narrowly beat Lewis Williamson to the FRenault crown for Fortec in his second year of car racing, having started out in the category’s Swedish and North European series in 2009. “It was a slow start, we struggled a bit at the start, but worked hard with the team and off-track too,” said Blomqvist, who was presented with the award by former Formula 1 and motorcycle world champion John Surtees.

Vettel is among the leading contenders in the International Racing Driver of the Year category, where he is sure to face opposition from season-long challengers Fernando Alonso, Mark Webber, Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button. Formula Renault UK champion Dean Smith has won a Formula 1 test with McLaren after being named as the 21st winner of the McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Award. Smith, who also gets £50,000, full membership of the BRDC, a TW Steel watch, and Puma racewear for a year, was revealed as the winner at the AUTOSPORT Awards in London on Sunday night.

Jenson Button has rounded off his amazing Formula 1 season by capturing the prestigious International Racing Driver of the Year Award. Jenson Button has been named as British Competition Driver of the Year at the AUTOSPORT Awards. The 29-year-old Brawn driver became Britain’s 10th Formula 1 world champion this year after taking six wins from the first seven grands prix for Ross Brawn’s team. After a season of change at McLaren, where Dennis stood down as team principal to focus on other aspects of his business, including a new McLaren road car, AUTOSPORT felt it was the perfect time to honour all he had contributed. Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo has paid tribute to AUTOSPORT during a video speech transmitted at the AUTOSPORT Awards in London on Sunday night. With his Maranello-based team picking up a Gregor Grant trophy in honour of the 80 years of magic that Ferrari has delivered in both its road car and racing exploits, di Montezemolo recognised the historic parallels between Ferrari’s entry into F1 and the arrival of AUTOSPORT in 1950.
