Peugeot UK is currently in negotiations with Peugeot France to discuss the potential for continuing in the IRC, and a decision is expected soon

Mikkelsen claims breakthrough win
October 9th, 2011
Andreas Mikkelsen finally clinched his first Intercontinental Rally Challenge win in Scotland, having protected his lead through the final stages at Scone Palace. The Norwegian had narrowly missed out on wins in the prevous two IRC rounds – crashing with victory in sight in Hungary, then being pipped by Thierry Neuville in a final stage showdown in Sanremo. But in Scotland he drove flawlessly, battling with Guy Wilks early on, before emerging with a commanding lead when the Peugeot driver went off on Saturday morning

The competitors on the Rally of Scotland have praised the organisers’ decision to cancel last night’s second run through the Drummond Hill stage. Andreas Mikkelsen will take a 50.7-second lead into the final day of the Rally of Scotland, having maintained a superb pace at the front of the field to pull clear of his nearest rivals. Bogie currently holds 10th overall in his Group N Mitsubishi – just six seconds behind former Pirelli Star Driver Jarkko Nikara, who leads the Production Cup standings in a similar car. “There’s great support out there this morning, everybody’s waving the flags and cheering – it’s been fantastic,” said Bogie
