    19 years old, Jameson Spies lives in Quartz Hill, California. He grew-up surrounded by racing. His mother raced late models throughout Southern California while his father built and setup the car. Not surprisingly, Jameson began racing go-karts at the age of 13, and is now racing Spec Trucks at Toyota Speedway at Irwindale.     Jason is 21 years old and was born and raised in Elk Grove. California. A big time NASCAR fan, he hasn’t missed a race on Sunday in years. Lofing is also a huge San Fransisco Giants fan and tries to take in at least a couple games a year. Other than sim racing, his biggest (and far more expensive!) hobby is photography. Although he is rather new to sim racing, Lofing has already accomplished some pretty impressive results, qualifying for the 2011 iRacing Oval Pro Series in Season 1, 2011, winning the inaugural Landon Cassill Qualifying Challenge and finishing runner-up in the second one.

    Tim Terry, aka the voice of Maritime stock car racing, fell in love with sim racing in 2004 after he joined the Sim Racing Network crew as a pit reporter. From October 2004 to SRNtv’s closure in June 2007, he’s covered prestigious races and leagues such as the Online 500, FLM Fall 400, Real Racing Online and the DMP Racing League – each as the lead broadcaster for the company. At the same time the wheels started to turn in another direction as he began announcing stock car racing locally. Terry became the assistant announcer at Scotia Speedworld in May 2007 and took over full duties in May 2009 when long-time voice Mike Kaplan retired from the track. Terry also became the series voice of the Parts For Trucks Pro Stock Tour in ’09 and continues to hold down both posts in 2011. He has also announced races for the Pro All Stars Series, Atlantic Open Wheel and Maritime League of Legends tours and has called races at six different Atlantic Canadian tracks. Sebastien Loeb leads Citroen team-mate Mikko Hirvonen by 4.5 seconds after the last full-length stage of leg one of Rally Mexico. Loeb moved ahead of the Finn on the first stage after lunchtime service today, but has was not able to pull far away on the two stages that followed.

Tough start for Monster duo

Monster World Rally Team drivers Ken Block and Chris Atkinson have suffered a disappointing morning on the opening loop of Rally Mexico stages. Both drivers suffered punctures on the final stage of the loop, but Block’s frustration came from sitting at the side of the stage waiting for Atkinson to pass the sister Fiesta RS WRC – only to discover the Australian had been slowed after he knocked a tyre off the rim.

Jari-Matti Latvala said there was no way he could have avoided the rock that caused the suspension damage which cost him the Rally Mexico lead. Broken front suspension dropped the Ford driver from first to eighth on the final stage of the morning loop in Mexico today. “It was in a really fast section of the last stage,” Latvala told AUTOSPORT.

Citroen’s Mikko Hirvonen and Sebastien Loeb have moved ahead in Rally Mexico after erstwhile leader Jari-Matti Latvala sustained broken suspension on the morning’s final stage. Latvala (Ford) had been edging away from the Citroen duo prior to the stage five incident, which cost him nearly two minutes and saw the Ford fall to eighth place.

Petter Solberg’s early lead in Rally Mexico has disappeared already after the Ford driver suffered a puncture on the event’s first full-length stage. Defending World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb says he does not expect to be hindered by missing out on the fastest time on Thursday’s Rally Mexico qualifying stage. The Frenchman finished third on the test and will run 12th on the road through the opening leg of the Leon-based event.

Petter Solberg followed up his fastest time on the Rally Mexico qualifying stage with a win on the short Guanajuato street stage that opened the event on Thursday evening. The Ford driver was 0.4 seconds quicker than second-placed Sebastien Loeb’s Citroen. The whole top 10 was within 1.9s over the one-kilometre stage, with Mads Ostberg putting his Adapta Ford third, just ahead of Mikko Hirvonen in the second works Citroen, Jari-Matti Latvala’s Ford and Ott Tanak’s M-Sport Ford.

Ford’s Jari-Matti Latvala says his disappointing time in qualifying for Rally Mexico this morning was caused partly by himself and partly by running the wrong set-up on his Fiesta RS WRC. The World Rally Championship manufacturers are believed to have proposed a 2013 calendar with no scope for any rallies outside of Europe and the Americas to the FIA. FIA president Jean Todt has long campaigned for a geographically wider-ranging WRC – but the manufacturers want 10 rallies in Europe, one in central America and two in South America next season. The 2013 calendar will be debated for the first time at the May meeting of the WRC Commission, with both parties hopeful of the schedule being cemented at the World Motor Sport Council meeting a month later
