Online Racing Divisional Round-Up, Week Four
by Tony Rickard on March 3rd, 2010
As Week Four of the season drew to a close, it became clear just what an international affair iRacing is on the road side, whilst the oval divisions are largely dominated by US drivers, especially the NASCAR iRacing Class C Series trucks.
At the time of writing Australia Club members Reg Burke and Phillip Stoneman head Divisions One and Two respectively in the Skip Barber Race Series. Division Three sees Scandinavian Mikael Fang in top spot. DE-AT-CH Ralf Gueltzow leads Division Four whilst New Jersey driver Tim Dembowski heads Division Five. Another DE-AT-CH tops the list in Division Six, Uwe Kriebel, with a fellow European, England’s Nick Philips, leading Division Seven.

The Skip Barber Race Series is a veritable United Nations of online racing.
We head over to Canada to find the leaders of the next divisions. Sheldon Lemoine from Western Canada leads Division Eight whilst East Canadian Denis Langlois leads Division Nine.
After their success in the World Cup, DE-AT-CH are the only club to have three divisional leaders with Frank Szabo heading Division Ten’s sim racers.
In the NASCAR iRacing Late Model Series the US drivers make amends starting with Plains driver, Brett Nesbitt topping Division One. It isn’t all going the way of US drivers though, as Scandinivia’s Göran Strand heads Division Two and Benelux driver Steve Claeys leads Division Three. The balance is restored in Division Four where Alan Scrimger from Virgina leads while Northwest’s LJ Cover is top of Division Five. We move around the planet to find Australia club driver David Beattie leading Division Six. It is back to the US for the leaders in the remaining divisions:
Division
Seven: Lee Baker Mid-South
Eight: Mark Gomez New Jersey
Nine: David Knight3 Carolina
Ten: Jerry Favorito New York
As with the Skip Barbers, the Star Mazda series displays a similar array of drivers from around the world
Division
One: Jake Stergios New England
Two: Mark Muckey Pennsylvania
Three: Bashkim Kozmaqi International
Four: Gabriel Fürstner DE-AT-CH
Five: Jaco Roux International
Six: Bruce Funderburg Mid-South
Seven: Chris Warner England
Eight: Casey Holdway Texas
Nine: Jeff Simon Indiana
Ten: Renato Preti South America

But for DE-AT-CH's Martin Kolibal, the NACAR iRacing.com Class C Series is an all-American affair.
However, the NASCAR iRacing.com Class C Series is a different matter where only DE-AT-CH driver Martin Kolibal, currently leading Division Six, can break the stranglehold of US drivers:
Division
One: Jesse Atchison Atlantic
Two: Joey Brown Texas
Three: Joshua Gudorf Ohio
Four: Abe Ratcliff Illinois
Five: Lester Dietz New York
Six: Martin Kolibal DE-AT-CH
Seven: Michael W Brown Virginias
Eight: Jory Holbrook Georgia
Nine: Michael Bortle Florida
Ten: Eric Essary Carolina
There is a long way to go of course and plenty of time for change. Will the US drivers dominate the ovals come the end of the season? Will some of the countries not listed above make their mark? Only time will tell…
