Kudos to Two iRacers
by David Phillips on September 28th, 2009
Two more iRacers in the news of late are Parker Kligerman and Andrew Caddell.
Today, Penske Racing announced Kligerman will make his NASCAR Nationwide Series debut this coming weekend, competing in the No. 22 Penske Truck Rental Dodge in the Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway. The 19 year old Kligerman will also race for the team in the Nationwide Series season finale at Homestead-Miami Speedway on Saturday, November 21.
Parker joined Penske Racing as a development driver in 2008 and, this year, leads the ARCA RE/MAX Series with seven wins and is currently ranked second in the championship standings with two races remaining. Kligerman will do double duty at Kansas, competing inThursday’s ARCA race before making his Nationwide Series debut on Saturday.

Parker Kligerman makes his move to the NASCAR Nationwide Series with Penske Racing this week.
“I am very excited to get my first opportunity to race at the NASCAR level with the Penske Racing Nationwide Series team,” said Kligerman, who competed in the iRacing Impala Class B race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway on Sunday. “It’s definitely going to be a challenge, but I know the team will give me a great car. Penske Racing has a lot of experience and this will definitely help us as we prepare to go to the next level.”
Caddell wrapped-up his second consecutive Ford Mustange Challenge title at Miller Motorsports Park a week ago in fine fashion, taking a flag-to-flag win for his fourth win of the 2009 season. The victory was Caddell’s seventh in Mustang Challenge competition since the series debuted in 2008 and, astute observers will have noticed that by clinching his second straight title, the 21 year old Caddell remains the only person to ever win a Mustang Challenge championship.

Andrew Caddell: two for two in the Mustang Challenge
“It feels great to get this championship finally locked up,” said Caddell, who finished fourth in the iRacing VW Jetta TDI Cup race at Road Atlanta on August 21. “It’s been a great season and this was the best possible way to wrap it up with a win here at Miller and the home track for the series.”
iRacing.com is proud to be associated with Kligerman and Caddell, and wishes them nothing but the best as their racing careers progress.
