I am frankly, shocked at all of the hair puling, whining "journalists" who are decrying the decision made by NASCAR, regarding Carl Edwards punishment for his actions last Sunday. Shocked because a lot of these people have been on record as missing the "good ole days" when there was excitement in NASCAR and the source of a lot of that excitement was the on track arguments of the race participants. Well NASCAR has put a glove of sorts over the heavy hand that has been responsible for the decline in viewership and track attendance and told the drivers to police themselves. That's what "Edwards" did on Sunday. They had a history and all Carl did was even up the score. Granted, Keslowski's car got airborne and the potential for tragedy was increased but Edwards cannot be blamed for not anticipating the actions of a vehicle with roof flaps that are supposed to eliminate this problem. It's interesting that the majority of the active drivers are united in their understanding of Carl's actions and the majority of them also were willing to go on record that Keslowski probably had it coming. They all have been the recipient at one time or another of the "aggressive" style of driving that Keslowski exhibits in every race. Keslowski has stated many times that "he's not out there to make friends". Looks like he accomplished his stated goal. I would say to the journalistic armchair experts ...man up. If the men who make their livings in this sport don't think Carl's actions were too extreme then who the #!^% are you to disagree?
