TRG Fielding Five Cars During Rolex 24
January 8th, 2010

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. — TRG Motorsports will enter an astounding five teams in the season-opening Rolex 24 at Daytona Int’l Speedway Jan. 30-31.
The team previously announced plans to enter four Porsche 911 GT3’s in the race, but recent sponsorship agreements have allowed the team to enter a fifth entry while shuffling its driver lineup.
Driving the teams No. 66 with sponsorship from AXA will be Brent Koch, Ted Ballou, Pat Flanagan, Kelly Collins and Wolf Henzler. Driving the No. 67 through a one-race partnership with Flying Lizard Motorsports will be Seth Neiman, Johannes van Overbeek, Patrick Long and Joerg Bergmeister.
TRG has also added Porsche factory drivers Timo Bernhard and Romain Dumas to their driver lineup. They will join Bobby Labonte, Tim George, Jr. and Spencer Pumpelly behind the wheel of the No. 71. Henri Richard, Zak Brown, Rene Villeneuve, Mark Thomas and Richard Dean will remain as drivers of the No. 63.
Lastly, the team has added the No. 18 to its lineup of cars for drivers Bruce Ledoux, David Quinlan, Peter Bassett, Bob Doyle and Tom Sheehan.
“To come in to this year’s race, which is arguably under the most challenging economy the series has ever seen, with five cars is a victory in itself,” said team owner Kevin Buckler. “I have personally been on the phone for weeks on end trying to make all of our programs work for everyone and their sponsors, and I’m proud to say that we’re coming in to this year’s race with such a solid lineup. To have this many cars come in with such a solid group of drivers is a great testament to not only the last few months, but really the last two decades of everything we’ve worked for to make sure we have a solid organization.”
