Stoner urges Marquez caution
June 3rd, 2013
Casey Stoner believes Marc Marquez must be given time to prove he can marry his prodigious pace with the consistency required to become a MotoGP champion. The Spaniard has been a sensation since being called up to replace the departing Stoner in Honda’s works line-up, winning at the second attempt and capturing the points lead after the third. He has also crashed several times however, including most recently at Mugello while running second with three laps to go.

January 28th, 2013
Casey Stoner says it is almost impossible to set targets for his first season in the V8 Supercar Development Series given his lack of four-wheel experience. The two-time MotoGP champion signed a one-year deal to race a Triple 8 Holden Commodore on Saturday. Stoner has had one full-test with the team already, but said it would count for little come the start of the season and that he would need to ‘fast track’ his development as a result.

Revolution ‘not necessary’ at Ducati
January 16th, 2013
Ducati’s new MotoGP boss Bernhard Gobmeier says he will build on the team’s existing strengths rather than making a complete fresh start. Gobmeier supplanted Filippo Preziosi at the end of last season as Ducati reshuffled its staff following its acquisition by Audi and its lack of success with Valentino Rossi. “We will try to base everything on the good things we have – which have to be kept and remain,” Gobmeier said at the Wrooom media event, attended by AUTOSPORT
