Chilton: minimising blue flag losses key
March 19th, 2013
Max Chilton believes that learning to minimise the time lost to blue flags is a priority after his Formula 1 debut in the Australian Grand Prix. The 21-year-old lost time early in the race after a long pit-stop to replace a front wing damaged by clipping the back of Giedo van der Garde’s Caterham as it returned from an off-track moment.
Cadei wins second Imola Ferrari race
April 22nd, 2012
Niki Cadei finally broke through for his first Ferrari Challenge Trofeo Pirelli win of 2012 by taking victory in the second race at Imola. Despite having been on the front row for all four races so far this season, it took until race two at Imola for the Motor/Piacenza driver to finally take his first win. And he did it in style, the Italian streaking away to an easy victory in the 30-minute race.
Newman wins after last-gasp drama
April 1st, 2012
Ryan Newman emerged victorious in a wild finish to the Martinsville NASCAR Sprint Cup race. Hendrick Motorsports had looked dominant until the closing laps, when a yellow came out just after Jeff Gordon had passed team-mate Jimmie Johnson to reclaim the lead he had held for most of the distance.

October 30th, 2011
Sebastian Vettel admitted he was left with mixed emotions following his win in the Indian Grand Prix after a tragic two weeks for the world of motorsport.
Canada preview quotes: Pirelli
June 6th, 2011
Paul Hembery: “Monaco was a fantastic race, with three drivers battling closely for the win even though they were using three very different strategies. From the data we can see that Sebastian Vettel’s tyres would have gone the distance if he had continued to drive on them in the same way that he had been doing up to the red flag period
Alonso disappointed with gap to pole
March 26th, 2011
Fernando Alonso does not believe Ferrari’s qualifying pace in Melbourne was really representative of what its car can do, as he lapped 1.4 seconds off Sebastian Vettel’s pole time on the way to fifth on the grid. The Spaniard admitted that Ferrari had been slightly conservative, and went into Q3 with only one set of softer tyres available after using an extra one in Q1. “We were not super competitive today from the practice,” Alonso told television crews.
Dovizioso frustrated with Simoncelli
March 20th, 2011
Andrea Dovizioso believes Marco Simoncelli cost him a shot at the Qatar Grand Prix podium by being too aggressive when they were battling for fourth. Dovizioso eventually finished just behind his third-placed works Honda team-mate Dani Pedrosa, having eventually overcome Gresini rider Simoncelli, whose Honda is also factory specification. But Dovizioso reckoned that had he not lost time in one particular close call with Simoncelli, he could have taken on Pedrosa properly.
Title battle tightens as Edwards wins
November 15th, 2010
Carl Edwards ended a 70-race winless streak by gambling on fuel mileage at Phoenix, while the title battle tightened up even more heading into next week’s season finale at Homestead. The Roush Fenway racer had led every practice session of the weekend and started from pole position but it was Chase leader Denny Hamlin who dominated for most of the 312-mile event, leading 190 laps during the afternoon
Alguersuari surprised by points finish
November 14th, 2010
Jaime Alguersuari says he was surprised to finish the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in ninth place, from 17th on the grid. The 20-year-old Spaniard was one of several cars to pit at the end of the first lap when the safety car came out. He then found himself in the thick of the title battle early in the race, when Mark Webber and Felipe Massa emerged from their pitstops right behind the Toro Rosso
Rossi: I could’ve fought for victory
October 3rd, 2010
Valentino Rossi believes he could have stayed with leaders Casey Stoner and Andrea Dovizioso in the Japanese Grand Prix had he not been caught up behind Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo in the opening laps.
