Lorenzo says missing pole no concern
May 18th, 2013
MotoGP champion Jorge Lorenzo said missing out on the French Grand Prix pole to Marc Marquez was no concern as his whole focus was on ensuring his Yamaha did not fall off the pace in the race again. Lorenzo led the last round in Spain at first, but was overhauled by Honda’s Dani Pedrosa and then denied second when Marquez barged past at the final corner. The Yamaha rider had been concerned about long-run pace following that disappointment and remained unsure about his bike’s speed in Friday practice at Le Mans

There is now even the prospect of a renewal of some iconic F1 partnerships from the past, with both Lotus and Williams leading contenders to land Honda deals
Ferrari hits out at Red Bull over tyres
May 17th, 2013
Ferrari has hit out at rival Red Bull’s criticisms of the current tyres in Formula 1, saying it does not understand why it should feel ‘ashamed’ for winning races with aggressive four-stop strategies. Ducati test rider Michele Pirro will substitute for the American.
Pirro to stand in for Spies at Le Mans
May 6th, 2013
Ducati MotoGP test rider Michele Pirro will fill in for Ben Spies in the satellite Pramac squad for the French Grand Prix. The American will miss his second straight race as he struggles to overcome physical problems that began with a heavy crash at Sepang last year and were exacerbated in testing at the same track last month . Pirro had also been slated to stand in for Spies at Jerez, only for Ducati to confirm he would, as originally intended, race its development bike at the Spanish track
