November 4th, 2012
Narain Karthikeyan has admitted that it was a “scary” moment when Nico Rosberg’s Mercedes passed close to his head when the pair collided during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The HRT driver was running 19th when he suffered a sudden hydraulics failure, leading to Rosberg hitting him and riding over the top of his car.
Grosjean puts Lotus top at Mugello
May 2nd, 2012
Romain Grosjean put Lotus on top as the second morning of in-season testing at Mugello came to a close. In contrast to the torrential weather which blighted the opening day, conditions were dry almost from the outset, allowing teams the chance to catch up with their disrupted programmes. Many therefore opted to run with periscope gauges or various aero sensors rather than chase times

March 17th, 2012
The HRT team will not be allowed to race in tomorrow’s Australian Grand Prix after failing to qualify on Saturday. Neither Pedro de la Rosa nor team-mate Narain Karthikeyan managed a lap within the 107 per cent of the quickest time in Q1.
Button upbeat over ‘step forward’
March 3rd, 2012
A new suite of aerodynamic upgrades have allowed McLaren to make a ‘definite step forward’ as it aims to kick off its championship campaign strongly with the promising new MP4-27, according to an upbeat Jenson Button. Despite a hydraulic problem limiting the Briton to just 44 laps running in the car fitted with upgrades on his final day of pre-season testing ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, Button declared himself comfortable with the car he takes into the season opener in two weeks’ time. “It worked out well – the laps I actually ran in it,” he said afterwards

Block delayed in service
October 2nd, 2010
Ken Block’s return to the Rally de France stages did not go quite to plan this morning, with the American driver dropping five places in service after the team was forced to replace a hydraulic actuator on his Ford Focus RS WRC. The Gymkhana star had suffered a problem with the hydraulics on the final stage of day one, forcing him to use the car’s manual gearshift rather than the hydraulically assisted version. The car’s differentials were also affected, making the car more difficult to drive in what was arguably the toughest stage of the day.
Singapore Sunday quotes: Virgin
September 26th, 2010
Lucas di Grassi – 15h: “A very good result overall and I have achieved my target for Singapore. We opted to pit during the first safety car period but we were very unlucky with the second, which made us lose a lot of time in the race. After that I just focused on getting to the finish
Renault plays down loss of track time
September 24th, 2010
Renault does not think that its loss of track time in practice today will harm its Singapore Grand Prix preparations too much, despite Robert Kubica only managing 15 laps in the dry second session due to a hydraulic problem.
Lotus upbeat despite Sepang showing
April 5th, 2010
Lotus will pick itself up and simply get on with doing a better job in the future after a disappointing race performance in the Malaysian Grand Prix, reckons technical chief Mike Gascoyne. The team was on a high after Heikki Kovalainen made it through to Q2 on home turf in Sepang, but race day collisions and a return of hydraulic problems scuppered its chances of a good result. Gascoyne admitted that the Sunday showing had not been what Lotus was after, but he said the team would not allow itself to get disheartened at the setback
