The list reveals McLaren drivers Lewis Hamilton and Jenson Button will swap numbers next year, with Button taking #3 after finishing ahead of his team-mate this season. Several teams appear with no drivers confirmed yet, with Kimi Raikkonen’s team-mate at Lotus yet to be confirmed.

Indian GP to hold minute’s silence

Formula 1 personnel will hold a minute’s silence in memory of Dan Wheldon and Marco Simoncelli ahead of the Indian Grand Prix. Following discussions between the drivers, the teams and the FIA, the event will take place at the front of the starting grid at 2.45pm local time – 15 minutes before the start of the race. A number of F1 drivers have paid tribute to both Wheldon and Simoncelli, who were killed in racing accidents over the past fortnight, over the Indian GP weekend by wearing special stickers and armbands.
FIA confirms provisional Indian GP grid

The FIA has confirmed the provisional grid for the Indian Grand Prix with the raft of penalties having left onlookers unsure about the exact order of positions after qualifying. With no less than five drivers having penalties for technical or sporting penalties, it was left to the stewards to work through the rule book to confirm the line-up.
