The World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series will be part of this weekend's World Finals at The Dirt Track at Charlotte. CONCORD, N.C. — The fourth annual Lowes Foods World Finals kicked off Thursday night at The Dirt Track at Charlotte with 169 cars in three divisions taking qualifying laps for Friday and Saturday night’s racing competition.

PEVELY, Mo. — After 55 laps of I-55 Raceway, the second annual Ironman 55 came down to the final few feet of the third-mile oval with Jason Meyers prevailing over Lucas Wolfe in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Ironman 55. Wolfe used a huge slide job coming off turn four to take the lead on the 55th and final lap, but Meyers won a drag race down the front straightaway by a mere.092 seconds, which was the closest finish of the season

Meyers used a strong double-file restart on the low side of the track with four laps remaining to edge Schatz, after the pair had a great battle on a previous restart only to have the caution wave, setting up the final restart.

KNOXVILLE, Iowa — Australian sprint-car racer Brooke Tatnell collected his first World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series triumph since 2008, leading all 25 laps of Thursday night’s Mediacom Shootout at Knoxville Raceway. Tatnell started from the pole and led the full distance as only one yellow flag, on lap one, slowed the pace.
