March 22nd, 2013
Sebastian Vettel – 3rd/2nd: “I think it was unusual today as in the second session one part of the track was pretty wet and the other was dry – but it all dried out quite fast, as it was so hot. This afternoon we couldn’t do so much due to the weather, but this morning it looked okay, although the tyres don’t last very long! We need to try a couple of things now overnight to improve and take a step forwards.” Mark Webber – 1st/5th: “It was a pretty smooth run for us today, but we need to improve and keep finding pace

Lotus atmosphere boosted Raikkonen
January 7th, 2013
Lotus owner Gerard Lopez believes Kimi Raikkonen managed to deliver so much for the team last year because it gave him the atmosphere he needed to thrive. Lopez is convinced that Raikkonen dug deep to get the best out of himself, even though from the outside it was not always obvious. “Everyone who had muttered that he wasn’t motivated now comes around to tell me they knew Kimi was still super strong,” said Lopez in an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport

Webber focussed on his own form
February 27th, 2012
Mark Webber says he will waste no time worrying about rival drivers gunning for his Red Bull Racing seat for next year. With the Australian’s contract up for renewal again at the end of this season, Webber knows he must deliver results if his bosses are not going to consider slotting in youngsters like Daniel Ricciardo or Jean-Eric Vergne. But rather than feel that the situation is a cause for concern, Webber is well aware of what is expected – and knows the best thing for his future is focusing on his own performances rather than what other drivers are doing.

Elias: Still time to turn year around
June 2nd, 2011
Toni Elias remains convinced he can still salvage something from his MotoGP season if his switch to a 2011 Honda chassis from Catalunya this weekend pays off. After winning the inaugural Moto2 title last year, the Spaniard returned to MotoGP with LCR Honda, but has so far struggled to get near the pace and invariably trailed the field. A ninth place in the wet at Jerez is the best result of his top-level comeback to date
Kobayashi unsure of more overtaking
March 1st, 2011
Kamui Kobayashi is unsure there will be more overtaking during the 2011 season despite the return of KERS and the introduction of the moveable rear wings. The Sauber driver reckons the fact that most teams will run KERS will mean its advantage is erased, and he is also unsure the current rules on moveable wings will make the system effective. “I don’t believe the KERS will help because almost everybody has it,” said Kobayashi.

February 12th, 2011
World champion Sebastian Vettel hopes Robert Kubica will continue to go rallying as a sideline once he is fit enough to return to Formula 1 – despite the Pole suffering severe injuries in a rally crash last weekend. Kubica required lengthy surgery to save his right hand and also sustained multiple fractures in his right arm and leg when an accident in a rally in Italy last Sunday left his Skoda Fabia impaled on a crash barrier. Vettel said he was pleased that the news about Kubica’s recovery had been encouraging so far
