German Grand Prix Sunday quotes: Mercedes
July 25th, 2010
Nico Rosberg – 8th: “We made the best of our situation today but it is frustrating after being on the podium at the last race. Achieving eighth place is damage limitation really and we were able to minimise the loss to Robert in terms of points but it has generally been a struggle this weekend. My strategy was good and the guys made a fantastic effort with my pit stop being the quickest of the race
German Grand Prix Saturday quotes: Mercedes
July 24th, 2010
Nico Rosberg – 9th: “I was hoping for a strong weekend here in Hockenheim in front of our fans but unfortunately I struggled a lot in qualifying today. It’s really disappointing and it seems that we are just not making our developments work as well as we hoped this weekend which we need to look into. I hope that we find the problem with the car otherwise it is difficult to explain why we are not closer to the front.

July 24th, 2010
Sebastian Vettel fired a clear message to his Red Bull team-mate Mark Webber as he set the fastest time on his final lap of Saturday morning’s practice session, with a time of 1m15.103s. The German’s lap was an immediate response to that of Webber, who had set a lap 0.6s slower moments prior to that.

German Grand Prix Friday quotes: Mercedes
July 23rd, 2010
Nico Rosberg – 5th: “In the wet conditions this morning, the car was very good and our pace looked quick. It was more difficult to get the intermediate tyres working, however we didn’t do many laps so I’m sure we would have been fine there too. In the dry this afternoon, I was less happy with the balance of the car in general
Schumacher eyes top five on the grid
July 23rd, 2010
Michael Schumacher believes a top-five finish is possible in the German Grand Prix following Friday’s practice sessions. Although the Mercedes driver finished near the bottom of the times in the opening session, things were better in the afternoon, and the German posted the sixth quickest time. Schumacher, who went off track a couple of times during the day, believes his team can aim for top five in qualifying and maybe higher for the race.
McLaren ‘not behind’ with development
July 20th, 2010
McLaren boss Martin Whitmarsh is adamant that his team has not fallen behind in the development race despite having to delay the introduction of the blown rear diffuser. The British squad had a big update scheduled for the British Grand Prix, but was forced to remove the blown diffuser after hitting trouble with it during Friday’s practice sessions. Both qualifying and the race were dominated by Red Bull’s drivers, with Mark Webber taking a commanding win ahead of Lewis Hamilton.

German Grand Prix preview quotes: Mercedes
July 16th, 2010
Nico Rosberg: “As a German driver, the German Grand Prix is always a very special weekend, and it will be even better this year to be racing there for Mercedes-Benz. I have great memories from Hockenheim as I won there in all the junior categories that I competed in, including my first single seater race win. There’s always a great atmosphere at the German Grand Prix and the fans are very enthusiastic with the huge grandstands in the stadium section creating so much noise! “It’s fantastic to see their support for the German drivers.
Mercedes still eyeing wins this year
July 12th, 2010
Nico Rosberg’s podium finish in the British Grand Prix has reignited his team’s belief that it can win races and challenge for the ‘best of the rest’ tag behind Red Bull Racing and McLaren this year. That is the view of Mercedes GP CEO Nick Fry, who is convinced that his outfit’s season is now back on track after the tyre and blown-diffuser troubles it faced in Valencia a fortnight ago.
