Kimi Raikkonen is predicting a tight battle for victory at the Italian Grand Prix – and concedes that his Lotus team does not appear to be the fastest. Stewart not taking form for granted
February 17th, 2012
Tony Stewart feels it is too early to know if he can carry his championship winning form in last year’s NASCAR Sprint Cup into 2012. The three-time champion finished the 2011 Cup season in dominant form, winning five of the final 10 races to beat Carl Edwards to the crown. Stewart and Edwards were the class of the field in the final couple of races, but speaking ahead of this weekend’s Budweiser Shootout non-championship event, the reigning champion believes that it will take time to judge the competitive order for this year
Vettel: Dominance unlikely in 2012
February 6th, 2012
Sebastian Vettel believes the tightening up of the technical regulations will make it much harder for Red Bull to repeat its 2011 dominance. The double world champion stormed to the title last year with the RB7, but he feels that any expectation that the team could enjoy a similar advantage this year would be misplaced. “We’ll always look back to 2011 and think how special it was,” said Vettel, speaking during the launch of the new RB8 car.

Gavin says BMWs tough to beat
June 9th, 2011
Works Chevrolet Corvette driver Oliver Gavin believes BMW has an advantage over the rest of the GTE field at Le Mans this year. After yesterday’s first qualifying session, Andy Priaulx’s BMW sits on provisional pole with a time of 3m58.426s, over 0.5s faster than Gianmaria Bruni’s AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia and one second quicker than the top Michelin-shod Corvette, driven by Gavin, Richard Westbrook and Jan Magnussen
Lotus says true pace not shown yet

Lotus is adamant that it did not show its true pace in free practice in Melbourne and will be more competitive over the rest of the weekend.
