I was born in New Haven, Connecticut in 1988 and moved to Midland, Michigan when I was two years old. I stayed there until third grade when I moved to Farmington Hills, Michigan and now I currently live in Naperville, IL where I'm attending Metea Valley High School as a 9th grader. In the past, I have participated in soccer and this year I plan on joining swimming or water polo. My family includes my 15 year old sister, a 7 year old sister and my mom and dad. I have been writing since 6th grade and have participated in many writing contests in my school and have received several awards for writing.
My fascination for motorsports began when I was nine. The first NASCAR race I watched on TV was the 2009 Toyota/Save Mart 350 at Infineon Raceway, won by Kasey Kahne. My favorite NASCAR drivers are Kyle Busch, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and Jimmie Johnson. I have watched all the races in the NASCAR Sprint Cup, Nationwide and Camping World Truck Series since 2010. I currently have three wins on iRacing, two of them in the Nationwide car at Daytona and one in the Street stocks at Charlotte. My favorite car and type of track on iRacing is the Nationwide Series (B Class) car and superspeedways.

I was born in Adelaide and we moved-out for Angle Vale for a few years until I was about 7 years old, when we moved to the Barossa Valley where I live now. I'm 19 years old and currently traveling back and forth weekly as I'm studying for a Diploma of Furniture Design and Technology.

I've always had a love for racing as my close family did some racing and we were always out at the local dirt track. I joined iRacing back in 2010 and slowly but surely got the hang of it as this is my first experience with sim racing and am loving it each time I race. I've won two SK Modified titles (almost had three in a row but finished P2 in 2011 S4), an inRacingNews Challenge championship (2012 S1 Mazda) and was also an AustralAsian Intel GT Series Finalist.

Born and raised in Fredericksburg, Virginia, I have always had a serious passion for cars and motorsports. Hoping one day to become an automotive journalist for a magazine, I constantly crave the exciting competition that comes along with racing and sim-racing. Having participated in a mere test session in a Legends car at Old Dominion Speedway, I have not been able to get into any real-life competition . . . yet.

As a sim racer, my interests date back to "GTR Evolution." My goal is to have fun and win some races. I made it to Oval Pro in 2010, but did not become very successful. I enjoy any mixed road racing competition and love racing the Silverados around almost any track.

    Contributing Writer
Born and raised in the greater St. Louis, Missouri area, Scott Kelly has had a love for motorsports ever since his father did the right thing by introducing auto racing into his life. No longer able to quench his need for speed by spectating NASCAR races on TV and watching dirt track stars slide around local tracks, Kelly eventually picked-up sim racing in his teens, wheeling cars found in Ratbag Games' "Dirt Track Racing" and "World of Outlaws: Sprint Cars" while also becoming introduced into multiple Papyrus sim-racing series. Joining the iRacing ranks in late 2011, Kelly set his sights on the short track racing he was familiar with, focusing on the sprint car, while also driving the Legends and street stock in multiple iRacing.com leagues.

Kelly brings not just his enthusiasm for racing to the highest-rated motorsports simulation, but also his B.A. degree in English; he covers the action seen in the iRacing.com Sprint Car Series, while also placing the spotlight on various leagues within the service. Enjoying his start to a career in motorsports journalism, Kelly also doesn't mind visiting victory lane from time-to-time.

I was born in Florence, South Carolina in 1989 and have lived here my entire life. I've been around racing since I was a young kid watching with my dad on Sundays. In 2009 and found my local track, Florence Motor Speedway and started working for them as a PR guy the same year. At the end of that season, I started writing for RACE22.com, a Late Model Stock Car news site. In 2010, I picked up my first DSLR camera and started shooting races. To this day, I've experienced some of the best races from behind the camera.

I've been with the iRacing service since its public beta in 2008, back when the top oval car was the Late Model. I've been in over 500 races on the service with 70+ wins on both oval and road. My favorite car on the service is the Chevrolet Silverado. Darlington Raceway and Concord Speedway are my favorite tracks simply because everybody hates them.

Doyle was in dominant form at Charlotte, leading from flag-to-flag.

The first week of 2013 Season 2 saw the iRacing.com Indy Car Series take to Charlotte Motor Speedway’s 1.5 mile oval with its 24 degree banked corners for some high speed, wheel-to-wheel action.  Located in the heart of NASCAR country in Concord, North Carolina, CMS hosted what would turn out to be quite an interesting week of IndyCar racing with a combined 397 drivers taking a shot at glory. In the IndyCar Oval Fixed setup series, 244 drivers took to the track aiming to jump straight to the series lead in hopes of winning this season’s title. The iRacing.com Grand Prix Series took to Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca for the first week of 2013 Season 2.  The 2.238 mile (3.602 km) course was recently given a graphics overhaul by the iRacing team.  Some drivers were a bit skeptical about the circuit choice for the schedule, feeling it was simply to show-off the updates without thought of what is best for the series.  Nonetheless, drivers took to the track contending to be part of the second batch to earn their black Pro stripe in 2013.  120 drivers contended in a race session throughout the week, 101 of whom placed qualifying times.   Leading the qualifiers was Ricardo Castro Ledo (France), who earned the pole position with a lap of 1:01.381 in his Williams-Toyota FW31, closely followed by Ryosuke Sawada [...]

"Texas Motor Speedway is known for its high speeds and tricky corner exits . . ."

Week 11 of the NASCAR iRacing.com Class B Series headed to the Lone Star State for the final mile and half week of the season.  Texas Motor Speedway is known for its high speeds and tricky corner exits and would be sure to provide a challenge to all drivers.  442 sim-racers would start a race during the week with series points leader Simon Crochart leading them in the weekly points race. Crochart amassed 268 points for the week following his lone race.  John Schweickart was second for the week with 258 points in two starts.  Tom Moustakas was third followed by Ashley Miller in fourth and Brandon Buie rounding-out the top five. Crochart led the series in qualifying for the week, taking the overall pole position with a time of [...]

Jared Crawford topped the point standings for the week following his win in the Strength of Field race on Friday night.  Crawford led from start to finish, coming home 1s clear of Crochart with Brandon Buie a further .2s in arrears.   Crawford collected 299 points for the win, with Crochart and Buie earning 284 and 269 points, respectively. Phil Juhring took home 254 [...]

Ruggier’s Win Tightens V8 Championship

by Dylan Sharman on March 28th, 2013

Ruggier's win at Zolder propelled him to the top of the V8 standings.

Round Eight of the iRacing.com V8 Supercars Series headed into Belgium to tackle Circuit Zolder.  Current championship leader Joshua Muggleton would be absent this round, which would allow either Madison Down or Justin Ruggier to take the championship lead with a decent finish.  After winning Race One, it was looking like Ruggier would take control of the points lead heading into the final four weeks . . . but, as seen in the past, anything can happen in the main online race. Qualifying saw Ruggier take pole position with a 1:31.632 ahead of John Emerson who managed to pull a lap out of nowhere in the final session to move onto the front row, demoting Madison Down to third alongside Vail Riches on Row Two. Mitchell McLeod and Robert Hartley [...]

Mastering the tight turns was Jon Tanko (Iberia) setting a 58.700 second lap time as the pole position.  This was a very popular week as we saw 1110 drivers take part in a race, 475 placed a qualifying lap, and 240 complete a time trial. Stuart Adcock (England) led the way with a score of 213 points. Starting from the fourth position in the 3444 SOF race, Adcock trailed the lead trio of Rudi Reinkort (Central Eastern Europe), Jairo Via (Iberia), Wojciech Swirydowicz (Celtic).  On the seventh lap the trio was involved in an incident moving them all back [...]

Week Four of the NASCAR iRacing.com Class B Series took sim-racers to the high banks of the Daytona International Speedway.  To be successful at Daytona, drivers needed to find the right partner to make their way to the front of the field  . . . and stay there . . . risking everything to be called a winner at Daytona. With most of the regular drivers taking the week off at the restrictor plate track, a whole new crop of drivers had a chance to lay their claim to fame.  Ashley Miller (Carolina) would collected 306 total points for the week, the most of the 1,358 sim racers who took to the track.  Tom Moustakas (New York) with 296 starts would come home second in points for the week ahead [...]

Joe’s iRacing Experience

Joe’s iRacing Experience

Editor’s note:  Last week we told you how iRacing proved to be the catalyst to Richard Brown’s purchase of his Cadillac CTS-V Coupe.  This week we’re sharing a story written by iRacer Joe Pisciotta for www.StangNet.com about racing his Mustang FR500s year ’round on iRacing.com . . . In the early 1980′s, video game arcades started popping up on every corner. Video games such as “PacMan”, “Donkey Kong” and “Galaga” were all the rage, but visually very simple. I was into cars and the first driving game I can remember was “Pole Position” by Atari in 1982. It was an open wheel car, one track and if you went off course the car would blow up (you got 3 lives). Now, 30 years later, video games are so popular they [...]

Sulzer Sizzles To Victory

The challenge of Spa-Francorchamps lured some ? sim-racers to Round Four of the Skip Barber Race Series.

Week Four brought the iRacing.com Skip Barber Series take to the famous Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps located in Francorchamps, Belgium.  The 4.35 mile (7.00 km), 19 turn circuit is the longest track on the Barber schedule, one pole sitter Norbert Sulzer (DE-AT-CH) lapped at 2:47.422.  Not only famous, but also very popular, Spa saw 903 race entrants, with 371 sim-racers recording a qualifying lap, and 165 completing a time trial. Sulzer capitalized on his pole position to taking the top spot for the first time this season, scoring 205 points.  Although Marcus Hamilton (England) got the better of him on the opening lap, Sulzer was soon through to the lead and remained in first for the remaining seven laps on his way to a 5.000 second victory over Hamilton with Victor [...]

O’Keefe Back On Top Down Under

by Kenneth O’Keefe on February 25th, 2013

Week Three saw the Skip Barber F2000s racing Down Under at scenic -- and challenging -- Phillip Island.

Week Three of 2013 Season One brought the iRacing.com Skip Barber Race Series to the Phillip Island Circuit, located in Victoria, Australia.  Being a new venue for the Barber series, drivers hit the track with blind eyes, embracing the circuit’s extremely high speed sections along with its slippery surface.  Many sim-racers chose not to take part this week, with 701 entering a race session, 294 placing a qualifying lap, and 125 completing a time trial. Our very own Kenneth O’Keefe (Eastern Canada) led the way, scoring 226 points.  O’Keefe started from the pole position in the 3642 SOF race.  After a hard-fought battle for the lead with the Celtic trio of Wojciech Swirydowicz, Wojciech Rabsztyn and Paul F Grillo, the others were involved in an incident enabling O’Keefe to speed [...]

Late Models Pay a Visit to the Ardennes

by Alexandre Martini on February 22nd, 2013

The Ardennes Forest is about to see some good, ole stock car racing action!

Round Four of the Late Model Road Racing World Series will be broadcast live on latemodelroad.com this Sunday, February 24 at 22:30 GMT. This week, the series heads to the legendary Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps, a favorite of many road racers because of its elevation changes and combination of high speed and challenging corners. The previous round at Lime Rock Park saw Maillard stretch his legs over the competition with a hat-trick: pole position, fastest lap and victory. The chicane at the top of the Uphill corner played an important part in defining the finishing order in the online race. Many drivers were penalized and had to slow down to give back the time gained by cutting it. Prado finished a good second place, after recovering from two penalties handed in [...]

Oran Raceway Park attracted over 550 entries for Week Eight of the Skip Barber Series.

Week Eight brought the iRacing.com Skip Barber Series to Oran Raceway Park, located in Narellan, New South Wales, Australia. The twelve turn, 1.62 mile (2.61 km) circuit challenged drivers with a tight inner-section, followed by a long front straight.  This created exciting online racing all week long, attracting 555 race entrants, 238 of them completing qualifying laps, and 123 completing time trials throughout the week. Tommaso Carla (Italy) lead the way in the week’s standings, scoring 203 points in the 3293 SOF race which he scored the pole position, lead every lap with only one incident point, and brought home the victory by 0.662 seconds.  The race was fairly close with third place only 1.098 seconds behind at the finish.  Tommaso also competed in two other races throughout the week, [...]

Turn One produced a lot of carnage.

Round 7 of the iRacing.com V8 Supercar Championship paid a return visit to the Land of the Rising Sun at 4.8km Twin Ring Motegi.  With ANZ drivers Justin Ruggier and Scott McLaughlin returning this week it was ‘game on’ and, with most of the drivers having a break over Christmas and New Years, it would be the series’ last big online race of 2012. Ruggier would take pole position with a 1:53.456 just edging Madison Down (1:53.520) with Rens Broekman and Vail Riches starting from the second row. Richard Hamstead and Scott McLaughlin comprised Row Three ahead of John Emerson and Mitchell McLeod on the fourth row with Shaun Kelly and Corey Slade rounding-out the top 10. When the lights went green it was Ruggier leading into Turn One with [...]
