Bruno Senna admitted that it was his lack of experience starting a race on full fuel that contributed to him causing a first corner melee in the Belgian Grand Prix. Jarno Trulli had to struggle with floor damage and Heikki Kovalainen required a new front wing after they were pushed into each other at Spa as the aftermath of a clash between Timo Glock and Paul di Resta unfolded
Filippi charges to Spa race two win
August 28th, 2011
Luca Filippi won a thrilling second GP2 race of the weekend at Spa. The Italian worked his way from fifth to second in the opening six laps, picking off Dani Clos, Fairuz Fauzy and the fast-starting (11th to second) Johnny Cecotto Jr with moves at Les Combes. He was making inroads into Josef Kral’s lead when the safety car came out, after Fabio Leimer (Rapax) had a nasty looking crash at Eau Rouge
Maldonado penalised over clash
August 27th, 2011
Pastor Maldonado has been given a five-place grid penalty for the Belgian Grand Prix after his incident with Lewis Hamilton at the end of Q2. The pair had clashed once at the Bus Stop chicane as Hamilton hurried to complete a flying lap, and Maldonado then appeared to jink towards the McLaren on their following laps as they came out of La Source, with light contact made between them. Maldonado was adjudged to have been more at fault in the incident and will be moved back from 16th to 21st on the grid.
Hamilton: Maldonado risked big crash

Karthikeyan: Long absence not a worry
January 14th, 2011
Narain Karthikeyan is optimistic that his long absence from Formula 1 will not hamper him when he returns with Hispania this season. The Indian driver last raced in F1 with Jordan in 2005, and was an occasional Williams test driver in 2006 and ’07, but has not been involved in F1 since then, instead appearing in A1GP, the Le Mans Series, the Superleague Formula and the NASCAR Truck series.
