WTCC opener reverts to Curitiba

The World Touring Car Championship has switched its season-opening round back to Curitiba. The March 19-20 event had been due to take place at Interlagos, but that plan has now been abandoned due to logistical issues owing to renovation work being done at the Brazilian Grand Prix venue. WTCC promoter Marcello Lotti said that the event would, as planned, share top billing with the country’s hugely popular V8 Stock Car Championship
