Mercedes: holding up rivals not enough
May 17th, 2013
Mercedes says it cannot rely Monaco’s lack of overtaking opportunities to make up for its race-day tyre issues. The Italian team had an encouraging Spanish Grand Prix weekend, with both Ricciardo and team-mate Jean-Eric Vergne coming close to Q3, and the Australian taking a point for 10th in the race. Spain race quotes: Ferrari
May 12th, 2013
Fernando Alonso – 1st: “Even if this is the third time I’ve won a home race, the emotion is still very strong, as if it had neverhappened before. It’s nice to be able to give the whole of Spain this win, especially at a time when the country is in crisis and for many people, it’s not possible to come here to bring their support. I thank everyone for that support and the team for doing a fantastic job.
