Round One and the start of Season 4, the iRacing.com Cadillac Cup returned to Canada to tackle Mosport. A total of 326 drivers signed-up for an online race during the week, with 123 taking to qualifying throughout the week and 74 sim-racers participating in time trial competitions. Qualifying Top 10 Qualifying saw Dylan Sharman hustle his Cadillac CTS-V to the top spot and a new lap record of 1:16.588 while Jan-Paul Niehuis was the only other competitor to break into the 1:16s with a 1:16.870. Carlos Reyes Aiguadé qualified third for the week ahead of Aurelio Leonetti and fifth-placed Nathan Moore. Formula 3 Euro Series and European F3 champion Daniel Juncadella completed his Formula 1 test with Ferrari at the Vallelunga circuit on Friday. The Spaniard earned the outing after winning the FIA’s new European F3 crown this year. Juncadella drove Ferrari’s 2009 single seater, the F60, and completed six runs of eight laps each at the dry, but foggy Italian circuit.

221 drivers, 23 races, 16 different race winners and some fantastic close action online racing at the virtual Suzuka Circuit marked the start of 2012 Series 4 Lotus 79 Classic Teams Championship. Once again a substantial number of those drivers entering the series have also entered the Frank Herfjord-arranged Classic Teams Championship with resulting field having the appearance of a bit of time travelling as classic liveries from 1979 fill the grids. Season 4 finds the CTC following almost the same rules as last season with the only noticeable change being a requirement for drivers and teams to request replacement, rather than last season where it was automatic. The NASCAR iRacing.com Class A Series (NiCAS) is back in action after a week of testing and tuning, and some of the top sim racers from all over the planet wasted no time kicking off the season with a bang. Texas Motor Speedway is not only one of the fastest tracks we will visit throughout the 2012 Season 4 schedule, but it also provides an immense sensation of speed. Although the NASCAR iRacing.com Pro Series (NiPS) is already under way, there is an NiCAS championship up for grabs, and it all started last week in Texas.
