Valentino Rossi, Jorge Lorenzo and Casey Stoner will all be on MotoGP testing duties this week. Suzuki, meanwhile, will test with Randy de Puniet and Nobautsu Aoki as it continues preparations for a full-time return to the series in 2015. Lorenzo, still recovering from the collarbone injuries he suffered at Assen and the Sachsenring, will partner team-mate Rossi for a two-day test at Brno.

Valentino Rossi has questioned the safety of the Sachsenring layout following a spate of heavy crashes during the MotoGP weekend. Championship protagonists Jorge Lorenzo and Dani Pedrosa were both forced to sit out Sunday’s race as a result of injuries sustained in horrible highsides during practice. Andrea Dovizioso, Nicky Hayden, Cal Crutchlow, Andrea Iannone and Bryan Staring were among a list of other riders to fall, with the sixth-gear right-hander of Turn 11 the chief area for incidents.

Valentino Rossi sees no reason why he cannot maintain his race-winning form for the rest of the MotoGP season after his breakthrough victory at Assen . The seven-time series champion had gone nearly three years without a win before his Dutch Grand Prix triumph last weekend. He had struggled to match Yamaha team-mate Jorge Lorenzo and Honda men Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez for most of the season, but made a breakthrough in the Netherlands

Jorge Lorenzo has been given medical clearance to compete in the Dutch Grand Prix at Assen just two days after breaking his collarbone in a practice crash. The MotoGP world champion had surgery to fix the injury in Barcelona on Thursday night, then returned to Assen to see if he would be fit to start the race. Lorenzo was given permission to ride in the warm-up and completed 11 trouble-free laps, just 0.7 seconds off the pace in eighth place

Marc Marquez concurs with team-mate Dani Pedrosa’s assessment that Honda should not rush its 2014 MotoGP bike into race action yet. Honda made next year’s RC213V available for the duo to test at Aragon this week, and told its riders it was willing to race it as soon as possible this season if they wanted to.

Honda has unveiled the new-liveried 2013 MotoGP bike with which Dani Pedrosa and Marc Marquez will contest this year’s MotoGP world championship. Dubbed the RC213V, the bike was revealed at Repsol’s Madrid headquarters. 2013 marks the 19th year of the Japanese marque’s partnership with the oil giant.

Jonathan Rea admitted he didn’t want to take excessive risks on what was a ‘dream’ chance to ride reigning MotoGP champion Casey Stoner’s Honda. Rea, drafted from Honda’s World Superbike team to replace the injured Stoner, got his first taste of 1000cc MotoGP machinery on the Monday immediately after the Czech Grand Prix .
