The engine, which was introduced in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series in 2006 as an optional means for managing costs and providing teams with additional opportunities to compete, is also available for use in the NASCAR Whelen Modified Tours, and the NASCAR Canadian Tire Series.

Clint Bowyer CONCORD, N.C. — Clint Bowyer, driving Richard Childress’s Zaxby’s Chevrolet, won the pole for tonight’s Dollar General 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Bowyer edged Ryan Newman to claim the top qualifying spot after turning a lap of 29.64 seconds at 182.174 miles per hour
