Sam Bird scored his fourth GP2 victory of the season at Spa-Francorchamps on Saturday and put himself right back into the title fight in the process. The Briton won the feature race for the Russian Time team by seven seconds over Marcus Ericsson. Sam Bird will start the Spa GP2 feature race from pole position after dominating qualifying at Spa-Francorchamps. The Russian Time driver set his best time on his first set of new soft tyres, and although his rivals took plenty of shots at beating the Briton, nobody achieved it. Fabio Leimer came closest, the Racing Engineering man was three tenths down on Bird after the first run.

Nathanael Berthon claimed his first ever GP2 win with a faultless performance in Hungary. He made full use of his reversed-grid pole position to lead into the first corner.

Jolyon Palmer drove a brilliant race, taking full advantage of Carlin’s superior tyre strategy, to score an emphatic GP2 win in Hungary. Palmer started the race on the medium tyre and was able to go further than his nearest rivals before switching to another set of medium Pirellis. Making full use of his fresher rubber he pulled off a great move on Marcus Ericsson for the lead.

Sam Bird set the pace in a scorching hot GP2 free practice session in Hungary. The Russian Time driver ended the 30-minute session over three tenths faster than his closest rival, Caterham’s Sergio Canamasas. Tom Dillmann underlined the pace of the Russian Time car by recording the third-best time

Robin Frijns set the fastest time in free practice for round six of the GP2 Series at the Nurburgring. The reigning Formula Renault 3.5 champion lapped the grand prix circuit in 1m39.838s in his Hilmer Motorsport-run car, 0.124 seconds faster than Sam Bird of Russian Time

Sam Bird won his third GP2 race of the year at Silverstone on Saturday afternoon, beating Stephane Richelmi by 2.4 seconds. A chaotic race had a wild start, as poleman Marcus Ericsson looked to have made a fine getaway to lead Felipe Nasr, while Bird made a relatively poor launch from second

Marcus Ericsson scored his second pole of the season for DAMS at Silverstone on Friday afternoon, setting the quickest lap of the half-hour session just before a rain shower curtailed any further improvements. The threat of rain meant that all 26 cars went straight out at the green light on a virtually-dry track using the Pirelli medium-compound tyres.
