Baywatch star Pamela Anderson is the team principal of a revived operation that will contest the remainder of the FIA GT Series with Vitantonio Liuzzi among its drivers. The Canadian actress and model has joined forces with the Racealliance team, which ran Aston Martins in the FIA GT Championship in 2006-08, to form Racealliance by Pamela Anderson.

Carlos Sainz Jr says he is no hurry to secure a Formula 1 drive, as he feels it is still too early for him despite impressing in his test with the two Red Bull-owned teams. The 18-year-old drove for both Red Bull and Toro Rosso during the young driver test at Silverstone earlier this month. Sainz, second quickest in his first Formula 1 outing, said the teams were very happy with his performances.

McLaren is hoping to find its young driver Kevin Magnussen a seat in Formula 1 next year. The Dane impressed the team during a day’s running at the recent Silverstone young driver test , and is currently leading the Formula Renault 3.5 standings. McLaren has high hopes for Magnussen and team principal Martin Whitmarsh revealed that his outfit was considering options to find him an F1 race drive in 2014.

Strakka Racing, the first LMP1 privateer finisher in this year’s Le Mans 24 Hours , has withdrawn from the remainder of the 2013 World Endurance Championship. The British team has decided to miss the final five rounds of the series with its HPD ARX-03c in order to focus on what it is calling an “exciting new 2014 sportscar campaign”. Kimi Raikkonen admits he will face a difficult decision if he has to choose between Red Bull and Lotus for the 2014 Formula 1 season. AUTOSPORT understands that Raikkonen was on Red Bull’s shortlist as a new team-mate for Sebastian Vettel even before Mark Webber announced he will leave Formula 1 at the end of 2013 to join Porsche’s new LMP1 programme . Raikkonen’s contract with Lotus expires at the end of the year, and he insisted he is yet to decide on his plans, but hinted it will be a tough call.
