Auto GP race-winning team Virtuosi Racing is to support a new entry to the series called Comtec by Virtuosi for the remainder of the season. Virtuosi Racing will continue unaffected, but will assist in preparing a third car to be run by its Norfolk neighbour Comtec Racing, which took Alx Danielsson to the 2006 Formula Renault 3.5 title. Venezuelan Roberto La Rocca, the reigning American F2000 champion, will run in a singleton entry from the forthcoming round at the Nurburgring onwards.

Ryan Briscoe will start from the back of the field in this weekend’s IndyCar race at Pocono as a clashing ALMS race will prevent him from taking part in qualifying. The Australian is set to make his fourth start of the season for the former championship-winning team this weekend , but he will have to skip qualifying on Saturday as it clashes with the American Le Mans Series race at Lime Rock, where he will race for Level 5 Motorsports.
