At nearly 80-years old, Stafford Motor Speedway, in Stafford, Connecticut, is among the hearty
old-timers of American oval tracks. In fact, it can trace its competition roots back even further to 1870, when the facility
was known as the Stafford Springs Agricultural Park and hosted horseracing.
Ever since signing on to host NASCAR Weekly Racing Series events in 1959, every spring, summer and fall, Stafford thunders
on Friday nights to the sound of Late Models and Modifieds doing battle on the historic half-mile. It's rough, tough and fast.
Fortunately, on most nights, it has two racing lines that allow for plenty of door-to-door action and non-stop passing.
