eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series 2021 Driver and Team Pairings Set

After five days of free agency to determine the grid, the 2021 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series field is officially set, with the 40 qualified drivers and 20 professional teams aligning to create on-track partnerships for the coming season. An exciting mix of big names heading to new locations, as well as some of last year’s biggest stars continuing with their 2020 programs, headline the grid as the series prepares to kick off at Daytona International Speedway in February.

Defending series champion Nick Ottinger will remain with William Byron eSports for his title defense, joining fellow marquee names like Michael Conti (JR Motorsports), Jimmy Mullis (Richmond Raceway Esports), and Garrett Lowe (Wood Brothers Racing) in staying where they were last year. Other notables renewing their previous team relationships include 2019 series champion Zack Novak (Richmond Raceway Esports), inaugural series runner-up Brad Davies (JR Motorsports), and 2020 season finale winner Chris Shearburn (Letarte Esports).

But only two teams will return both of their drivers from last year, meaning a lot of fast veterans will be sporting new colors in 2021. Four-time series champion Ray Alfalla headlines the list at Joe Gibbs Racing, while Bobby Zalenski heads to Letarte Esports and Logan Clampitt joins Ottinger at William Byron eSports. Both Team Dillon Esports and Jim Beaver eSports reloaded for 2021 by bringing in two new veterans, with the former inking Corey Vincent and Taylor Hurst and the latter signing Caine Cook and Michael Guest.

Four new teams join the eNASCAR grid for 2021, and each looked to make a big splash in free agency. McLaren Shadow headlines the list with 2019 regular season champion Blake Reynolds and three-time series race winner Allen Boes, while XSET landed 2017 champion Ryan Luza and Casey Kirwan, Space Station Gaming will pair up veteran Malik Ray with rookie Vicente Salas, and Elliott Sadler eSports teams up third-year driver Ashton Crowder with rookie Garrett Manes.

Speaking of rookies, the 2021 grid includes 11 of them, led by 2020 Pro Series champion Isaac Gann. He’ll head to Kligerman Sport to pair with veteran Bob Bryant, while runner-up Mitchell deJong joins Keegan Leahy at Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan’s 23XI outfit. The influx of new talent is so widespread that two teams—Williams Esports and Clint Bowyer Racing—will enter the season with rookies occupying both of their race seats.
