Mazda Motorsports is giving race fans and online racers the chance to get behind the wheel and on track with the Mazda Hot Lap Challenge. The competition runs from April through October with seven qualifying events. The Mazda Hot Lap Challenge will provide the winner a test in a Global Mazda MX-5 Cup car.
Two ways to win – online or at-track!
The online portion of the competition takes place on iRacing and utilizes the Time Attack competitions. Seven unique and limited time Time Attacks will provide multiple opportunities for iRacing members to qualify for the season-ending race – where the winner will earn a VIP trip to the 2019 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
The at-track qualifying will take place in the Mazda consumer display area of the fan zones where Mazda incorporates two iRacing simulators. The fastest laps from each weekend will be compared and the fastest overall will win a VIP trip to the 2019 Rolex 24 at Daytona.
