2024 Porsche Esports Canada

Porsche Cars Canada, Ltd. (PCL) has qualified the fastest Canadian iRacing drivers to join the  Porsche Esports Canada race season. Drivers in the series are on teams representing Canadian Porsche Centres in an exciting two-series, eight-race season.

New for 2024

PCL is introducing the Porsche Esports Carrera Cup Canada (PECCC) to complement the existing Porsche Esports Sprint Challenge Canada (PESCC) series. Both series will have an eight-race season representing a Porsche Centre team. PECCC drivers will operate the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup (992 Generation) and PESCC drivers, the 718 GT4 Clubsport on the iRacing platform.

“Time Trial” // Time Attack (iRacing)

Open qualifying is at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, Circuit de Spa Francorchamps, and Fuji Speedway. To submit a time for potential series access, set your best time on all three tracks within the Time Trial period, from February 12 to February 24, 2024 using either the 911 GT3 Cup (992 Generation) for PECCC or the 718 GT4 Clubsport for PESCC. Time submissions in both classes is accepted to increase potential series access. The quickest lap time from each track will be added together for one total. The driver results will be provided to PCL by iRacing once the Time Trial period has completed.

Track #1

Canadian Tire Motorsports Park

Track #2

Track #3

Circuit de Spa Francorchamps

NOTE: Drivers must submit a time at all three tracks listed above and in the Porsche Esports Canada iRacing “Time Attack” during the Time Trials period (February 12-24, 2024)

Driver Allocations

Porsche Centres will operate a team of two drivers, one in each series, plus a reserve driver. Porsche Centres will have the option of “pre-selecting” drivers for their team, however all drivers regardless of open/pre-selected status will need to submit laps time during the Time Trial/Time Attack period. Pre-selected drivers who meet the registration criteria (Time Attack results, age, primary residence location, etc.) will be accepted onto their Porsche Centre team. Unfilled driver spots will be placed into a random draft order lottery, the results of which will determine the final driver allocations in correlation with the draft order and driver placement in the iRacing “Time Attack” session.

Prizing

Prizing is available for the top 23 driver finalists in the Driver’s Championship for each series, and top 5 Porsche Centre team finalists in the Constructor’s Championship. Prizing will be tiered in terms of final Driver’s Championship and Constructor’s Championship position at the end of the season. Overall prize pool to include items from series partners; TAG Heuer, Bose, LEGO, GRID Engineering and iRacing as well as Porsche Experience and Porsche Lifestyle selections.
