2025 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series | Preview | Race 16: Texas Motor Speedway
September 2nd, 2025 by Justin Melillo

The first ticket to the 2025 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Championship 4 has been punched! Steven Wilson claimed the spot, winning in eNASCAR Overtime at Michigan, and he will fight next month to try and win his second career championship live at the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Uptown Charlotte against three other drivers still to be determined over the next two races.
On Tuesday night, the eNASCAR field takes on Texas Motor Speedway, the 16th race of the 2025 season, and the second race in the 2025 Playoffs. Despite already having a pass to the championship, Wilson will be looking for back-to-back wins, in the sense of having won last week and in the sense of being the defending winner of the event.
Race coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET at eNASCAR.com/live and across iRacing social media channels. Tune in one hour earlier for a special presentation of the Sunoco All-Star Challenge at 7:00 p.m. ET, with an abbreviated Countdown to Green pre-race show following right afterward.

LAST RACE
Two weeks ago at Michigan International Speedway, it was the Tucker Minter show… until it wasn’t. From the pole position, and with help from his backend teammate Christopher Hill, Minter led 65 laps of a scheduled 70 laps before slipping up late, handing the lead to Casey Kirwan. Kirwan’s lead didn’t last long, however, as the caution flew moments later. Steven Wilson, who had to pit with teammate Femi Olatunbosun for apparently not having enough fuel, was gift wrapped the lead as a result, and he was able to hang on for a record-breaking seventh win of the season, now the most wins in a single season.
LAST YEAR
Texas Motor Speedway was also the second race of the 2024 eNASCAR Playoffs, and that race went caution-free over the course of the 100-lap event. From the pole position, Steven Wilson led 45 laps, holding back to save tire as drivers such as Vicente Salas and Parker White led in the early stages of the event. After pit stops, however, it was Wilson in the catbird seat, taking the lead for the final time with 36 laps to go, leading the rest of the way to the checkered flag to punch his ticket to the Championship 4.

PLAYOFF UPDATE
With Wilson’s win at Michigan, there are still three spots remaining in the Championship 4 field. As they run, those positions belong to Vicente Salas (+9), Bobby Zalenski (+4), and Casey Kirwan (+2). Parker White is the first driver on the outside looking in, only two points behind Kirwan. A win guarantees a place in the finale. At least one spot will be reserved for the driver with the most points without a win in the round. Another Wilson win, or a win by a driver outside the playoffs will guarantee a second Championship 4 spot on points entering Phoenix in two weeks. While nobody is mathematically in a place where they must win, those sixth on back will have a tough time earning their spot on points due to the Michigan results.

TRACK FACTS
The 1.5-mile oval of Texas Motor Speedway is located on the north side of Fort Worth. The construction of the speedway began in spring of 1995 and required the movement of more than four million cubic yards of earth before it was completed the following year. The oval originally featured unique dual-angle banking, but was reconfigured in the early 2000s, eliminating the eight-degree section of the dual-angle banking. It was repaved again in 2017, this time where Turns 1 and 2 were completely reprofiled, going from 24 degrees of banking and 60 feet of track width to 20 degrees of banking and 80 feet of racing surface. Texas hosts NASCAR events, and used to host INDYCAR racing up until 2023.
NEXT RACE
Following Texas, the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Playoffs conclude with the 17th round of the season at Phoenix Raceway on September 16th. Last season, Parker White was able to win his way to the Championship 4, his first career win, leading to his eventual championship run in the weeks following.
