For the 19th time in eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series history, Spire Motorsports’ Steven Wilson claimed the checkered flag on Tuesday night. This time, it was a second trip to Dover Motor Speedway’s victory lane for his second win of the 2026 season, barely edging his teammate Femi Olatunbosun in eNASCAR Overtime for the victory.

Following a pit stop that placed him around 15th, Wilson was involved in an early crash—before a quarter of the race was even completed—which contorted his left front fender. Despite the damage, Wilson managed to fight back and maintain a place inside the top-10 the majority of the night, ultimately fighting back to second with 45 laps to go.

ERA eSports Team’s Bobby Zalenski was the dominant force throughout the night, leading 100 of the first 115 laps in the 120 lap event. However, a copious amount of cautions kept restarting the race, keeping Wilson in the fight. On the second to last restart, Wilson was able to hang for about a lap with Zalenski. With four-and-a-half laps to go, Wilson and Zalenski made contact fighting for the lead.

Into Turn 1, Wilson backed off of Zalenski and looked low as his backend teammate, Williams F1 Team Gaming’s Parker White was heading into the corner. Wilson got a shot from there, and then pulled up quick to Zalenski out of Turn 2. Wilson and Zalenski met and wrecking ensued. Wilson managed to keep the lead as Zalenski fell down the order. On the final restart, Wilson held on, even more damaged than before, to take the win over his teammate.

“It was just a lot going on, to be honest,” Wilson said when asked about the incident post-race by host Alan Cavanna. “Heart rate’s going, adrenaline’s up. These race tracks, just how they go, we go long enough where we had so much grip there on that long green run, and we could move around. Once all of those yellows came out, and everyone kept wrecking, rubber gets picked up. It’s like if you watch a World of Outlaws Feature, and it gets rubbered down, that’s pretty much what we’re dealing with. You’ve just got to be on the bottom for the first couple of laps, and then it’s just all about clean air.”

“I was racing really hard, obviously. (Zalenski) used me up there a couple of times, and then, coming out of two, that’s been a trouble point this whole race for everyone. It might have been wind, or something, I don’t know. Everyone was sliding out of two. He was having it really bad too. Once I got that push (from White), I was kind of just drifting through the whole corner. Then I got to the exit and just slid a little more, and obviously wrecked (Zalenski) and however many cars. I want to be positive more. Spire 1-2, Femi starting from pit road. Happy to get our second win of the season.”

The win for Wilson gives him 87 points over 21st in the standings, the only gap he needs to worry about managing for the rest of the season with yet another win to the ledger. The win also adds another five playoff points to his total, which now sits at 15 points when including the Segment 1 points win. Zalenski went from a potential win to finishing in 31st, which drops him back down to fourth in the points standings, and likely out of the conversation for the Segment 2 title.

While Wilson and Zalenski are the two main characters of the season so far, both Kanaan Esports’ Vicente Salas and William Byron eSports’ Tucker Minter fought adversity from the start of the night and made the most of their efforts. Salas wound up 10th and moves to second in the points standings after starting 27th. Minter, meanwhile, did not get a lap time in during qualifying, started in 37th, and fought back to finish in third.

Another two drivers that failed to set qualifying laps were Wyatt Tinsley (Kansas City Pioneers) and Connor Yeroschak (Letarte Esports). Yeroschak actually set the fastest lap in final practice before dinging the wall in qualifying, ultimately starting 36th and finishing in fourth. Tinsley, in his return to full-time competition, has impressed as well, and turned a sour start into another top-10, finishing seventh after starting 39th.

It was also a turn around race for the BS+COMPETITION squad of Jordy Lopez and Garrett Lowe, both of those drivers earning their first top-10s of the season at Dover on Tuesday night. Lopez went off-strategy, taking the lead briefly from laps 25 to 29 before Zalenski returned to the lead with fresh tires. Lopez maintained second through the longest run of the night, almost reclaiming the lead before the caution flew. Lopez wound up finishing in fifth, while his teammate, Lowe, had a quiet ninth place run.

Still in fourth on the All-Time most-wins list, Wilson is now one win away from tying for second, that pairing being the retired Nick Ottinger and the man who almost broke the tie on Tuesday, that being Zalenski. Both Wilson and Zalenski have a ways to go to get to first all-time, that record still another eight or seven wins away, respectively, from tying with 4-Time series champion Ray Alfalla.

Just five more races remain before the 2026 eNASCAR Playoffs begin. With two drivers sharing four wins, and only a potential for there to be five more winners before the end of the Regular Season, there will be at least three places that go to points positions, and the drivers looking the best for those spots as they run are Salas, Minter, and Tinsley. Yeroschak, as well as Zack Novak (JR Motorsports), Christopher Hill (William Byron eSports), Dylan Duval (Channel 199 Sim Racing), and Daniel Faulkingham (Rick Ware Racing) are all above that cut as well as the season is set to hit the midway point of the Regular Season in two weeks at Iowa Speedway.

ZALENSKI DOMINANT AT START

The Nexxus eSports backend team showed a lot of promise during practice and qualifying on Tuesday night, and that effort was led by Hyak Motorsports’ Quentin Warman, the Qualifying Series champion from earlier in the year, claiming his second-career pole position, his first of the Championship Series year. Other Nexxus-backed drivers in the top-five included a pair of rookies in Kanaan Esports’ Sebastian Marin in third and eRacr’s Seth Noell in fifth.

The inside, however, was not the good lane on the initial start, unfortunately, and the trio were immediately swallowed up by the pack before Turn 1. Bobby Zalenski, on the outside with Steven Wilson and Parker White, all managed to take the podium away immediately as the field figured out how to get in line. Warman finally got into line in fifth, while Marin fell to sixth and Noell in ninth.

The opening stint only lasted for 15 laps before the first caution of the night flew for a scuffle between Nate Stewart (Jim Beaver eSports) and Michael Cosey Jr (ERA eSports Team).

The first caution threw a wrench into play for some of the competitors. Would two-tires be the call? Would it be four? In some cases, staying out was the move, that short list including Daniel Faulkingham and Jordy Lopez. Faulkingham’s teammate, Garrett Manes (Rick Ware Racing), also decided to stay out, restarting fifth, but he would be in the eye of the storm on the ensuing restart.

Almost immediately, the strategies began to clash, as the new-tire drivers attempted to gain all they could while the older-tire drivers were just hanging on. Contact between Marin and Manes kicked off the next caution, a prelude to the big ones that would be seen later. Wilson, who was 15th at the time, collected some front end damage from hitting a sideways Manes, but he opted to stay out and keep digging with the slight disadvantage, opting for track position instead of a car at 100 percent.

CAUTION AFTER CAUTION

For a while, the cautions were set aside. Faulkingham opted to pit during the second caution, his original plan foiled by the quick calamity. Lopez, however, was unfazed, and stayed on track, leading his first laps of the season. Zalenski, however, was a man on a mission, looking to finally score a Dover win, and reclaimed the lead on Lap 30.

The cautions returned on Lap 73, this time a spat between Marin and Stewart, both now in their respective second yellows of the night. This brought the whole field down pit road for the final expected time, and ultimately set the stage for a number of restarts that would determine the outcome.

On Lap 79, Blake Reynolds (Channel 199 Sim Racing) saw his day end early after tangling with the two TC Esports cars of Matthew Morton and Jake Nichols, as well as Vegas Inferno’s pair of Tommy Gossett and Michael Guest. Five laps later, Quentin Warman’s night turned on its side as he collided with a number of drivers, including former Dover winner, fgrAccel eRacing’s Ryan Luza, and JR Motorsports’ Malik Ray.

This prompted a single-file restart for the next one on Lap 83, but even with the measures to prevent back-to-back-to-back cautions, a slow start by the damaged Warman caught Guest, Nichols, Manes, and Gossett all off-guard at the back of the pack.

The field was able to get a few more green flag laps, but on Lap 99, Casey Kirwan (Kansas City Pioneers) and Cosey Jr made contact off of the corner. On the very next restart, the other Coca-Cola car in the field, Blaze Crawford (Team Dillon Esports) had a similar crash with Dylan Basen (RFK Racing). This set everything up for the final act of the race, the big twist that nobody saw coming.

WILSON VERSUS ZALENSKI

Restart after restart, Zalenski was trying new ways to throw off his competition. For the last 40 laps, that had been Wilson, who managed to get to second despite the nose damages. With five laps to go, this restart would be the most crucial, with the tires already on the edge of loss through so many cycles.

This time, Wilson was able to get the advantage. Into Turn 1, Wilson had the high side and a nose ahead. Zalenski drove it in a little deeper, and kept it alongside as they exited Turn 2 and almost immediately entered Turn 3. Again, Wilson held the defensive line, but Zalenski wasn’t giving it up just yet. Zalenski slid up and the two made contact, but it was still fair play to this point. Off of Turn 4, now Zalenski had the advantage and potentially the preferred line.

One last ditch effort, perhaps, as Wilson backed out of the corner entering Turn 1. This prompted the car behind the battle, Parker White, to barely tap Wilson as he was getting set for his crossover move. Wilson gassed it up as the two exited the corner. The two made contact. The field essentially imploded for a brief second as the leaders wrecked down the backstretch.

Zalenski’s machine went fully around, collecting White and fgrAccel eRacing’s Seth DeMerchant as accessories to the spin. Wilson kept his ride pointed straight, ping-ponging off of Zalenski, White, Lopez, Olatunbosun, and the wall. The built-in race control awarded him back his spot at the front of the field as a result while Zalenski and White were forced to the back, and DeMerchant was forced to retire with too much damage.

On the final restart, the top-six were all damaged in one way or another. Wilson got a clean start that also dragged his teammate through and past Lopez for second. Olatunbosun kept his teammate honest, making one last ditch dive to the inside out of Turn 4. The two made contact and held on, and it was Wilson across the line in first.

POINTS SITUATION LEAVING DOVER

On the verge of the halfway point of the 2026 eNASCAR Regular Season, Steven Wilson has four top-fives in four races, including two wins at EchoPark and Dover, a second place at Coronado, and a fourth to start the season at Charlotte. 35 points behind in second is Vicente Salas, who is winless to this point, but in a great points position nonetheless. Tucker Minter sits third, while Bobby Zalenski, with only two top-10s for his two wins at Coronado and Charlotte, sits in fourth.

The first man out of the Playoff picture is the current Rookie Points leader, RFK Racing’s Shawn Conklin, who finished eighth at Dover for his first-career top-10. Femi Olatunbosun jumps to 12th, just six points behind Daniel Faulkingham for the final spot, but there are a ton of big names even further down the list, including Casey Kirwan in 13th, Garrett Lowe in 14th, Donovan Strauss in 15th, and Parker White in 19th after his misfortunes the last two races.

Spire Motorsports takes back the Team Championship lead by 33 points over William Byron eSports. The ERA Esports Team was formerly leading these points, but falls to fifth after Zalenski’s late race drama and Cosey’s whole race drama. In that Rookie battle led by Conklin, second through fifth (Matthew Morton, Dylan Basen, Sebastian Marin, and Kenny Brady-Team Dillon Esports) are only separated by six points. Morton, the best of that group, is 22 points behind Conklin after four races.

Dover also marks the start of a new Segment. Wilson leads the way once again in the Segment 2 standings, five points ahead of Olatunbosun, and down the finishing order as normal for the rest of the Dover finishers. Iowa, which will feature Heat points in the Short Track format that will be on display, plus Indianapolis, will round out the short Segment round.

NEXT RACE: CORNFIELD OF DREAMS AT IOWA

Following Dover, the eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Championship Series will race next at Iowa Speedway. Originally slated to be the third race of the 2026 calendar, Iowa was moved to the fifth round to allow for Naval Base Coronado to join the schedule. Iowa takes the date originally scheduled for Mexico City.

Last season, Steven Wilson claimed another hometown victory as the Iowan held off a strong charge from Zack Novak to take his fifth win of the year. The action from Iowa starts on July 7th with the Countdown to Green pre-race show at 7:45 p.m. ET.
