As the countdown begins to one of sim racing’s biggest global endurance challenges, Cosworth and iRacing are teaming up to unlock unprecedented access to professional-grade data analysis – and right when it matters most.

In the build-up to the iRacing Spa 24, Cosworth’s renowned Pi Toolbox Plus will be opened up to the iRacing community via a free, time-limited trial, giving drivers, engineers and teams the chance to analyse, learn and optimise like the pros.

Whether you’re preparing for your first endurance race or chasing tenths at the sharp end of the field, this is your unique chance to put world-class motorsport data tools to work.

What’s happening

From 26th June 2026, iRacing members can access Cosworth’s Pi Toolbox Plus free of charge for 14 days, covering:

  • Pre-event testing and setup
  • Race build-up and strategy refinement
  • Live analysis during the Spa 24
  • Post-stint and post-race performance review

This is the very same data analysis platform trusted across professional motorsport – now available to the sim racing community at scale.

New features

Current Pi Toolbox Plus members may update via the in-app updater or the Members Portal (Members.Cosworth.com) to access the following changes. Full release notes are available in the download.

Tyre work and tyre energy: This is the big one. Not just carcass temps across the tread, but tyre energy, how much work you’re actually putting through each tyre, both as a live value and accumulated across the lap.

Understeer and oversteer, measured: No more reading it off the steering trace and arguing about it. The workbook now compares your actual [YawRate] against the neutral yaw rate the car’s geometry predicts from [Speed] and [SteeringWheelAngle], and gives you the balance as a number through the corner.

Aero platform work: Ride height, rake and pitch, with damper displacement and velocity, laid out so you can read how the platform behaves under braking, mid-corner and under load.

Strategy (real-time and post-outing): We’ve now built far more insight into stints, with the workbook storing data in real-time for the current and previous three stints. At a glance you can check how many laps you ran last stint, the lap you pitted, fuel used and much, much more.

These new features are current available for the following cars. We will be extending this list later in the year.

Why Pi Toolbox matters

Data wins races – and Pi Toolbox Plus is built to turn raw telemetry into clear, actionable insight. With Pi Toolbox, iRacing drivers can:

  • Analyse lap-by-lap performance and consistency
  • Compare driving techniques across stints and sessions
  • Understand braking, throttle and cornering behaviour in detail
  • Identify performance gains that aren’t visible from lap times alone

Whether you’re a driver, engineer, coach or analyst, Pi Toolbox Plus helps you make faster, smarter decisions – before, during and after the race.

How to get involved

Getting started is simple:

Once installed, you can begin analysing iRacing data immediately – during testing, practice sessions and live race running.
