iRacing 2026 Season 3 Week 13: New Features and Formats
September 5th, 2026 by Chris Leone

iRacing’s Week 13 isn’t just a place where the community can learn our new content or let loose with fun series. It’s also an opportunity for us to test out some exciting new features we’ve been working on, mix up some race formats, and ensure that everything is good to go for the start of the new season.
The 2026 Season 3 edition of Week 13 will bring the heat with multiple exciting new developments—check them out here:
Weather Rerolls
Looking for an additional challenge from Mother Nature? Looking for no challenge from Mother Nature at all? Our all-new Weather Reroll will mix up the conditions more frequently, so racers won’t be facing the same conditions from one day (or sometimes even one session) to the next.
- 13th Week Ferrari 296 Challenge and GT3 Challenge – Fixed: Weather rerolls once per day at 00:00 GMT.
- 13th Week Porsche Cup Series: Weather rerolls for every race.
iTested Series
The most visible new feature of iTested will be the expansion to 17 cars, with the addition of the Aston Martin Valkyrie AMR-LMH to the existing GTP, LMP2, and GT3 groupings that users are familiar with. But iTested will also feature multiple pace car testing at its three tracks for the week—Fuji Speedway, Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta, and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course. It will also affect only Safety Rating, not iRating, so users who participate looking to earn the coveted iTested award can breathe easily.

New Formats
Two of our most popular series will see format overhauls for this Week 13:
- 13th Week Porsche Cup Series: Taking inspiration from the Porsche Esports Supercup, this series will feature a similar format, with one lap of qualifying, an inversion of the top eight qualifiers before a seven-lap sprint, and a 14-lap feature with no invert.
- 13th Week NASCAR iRacing Truck Series: This series will feature a 100% race distance, running the full real-world length of 175 laps at New Hampshire Motor Speedway all week.
In addition to the NASCAR Trucks, several other Week 13 series will also stay at the same track all week, similar to any given week in one of our normal 12-week seasons.
