The iRacing World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car World Championship is set to return for 2021, making its move to the winter for the first time. As a result, the Qualifying Series will also get started in 2020 Season 4, utilizing a new format as a seven-week, standalone series. Rules for the Qualifying Series are as follows:

  • One time slot per week: Tuesdays, 00:45 GMT
  • Open to drivers with Dirt Oval A 1.0 licenses and up
  • Only drivers who are not already qualified for the 2021 World Championship may race
  • Races may have multiple splits based on iRating, with a maximum of 26 cars per split
  • 2 Heat races (13 cars, 8 laps), top 7 transfer to the feature
  • 1 Consolation race (12 cars, 12 laps), top 4 transfer to the feature
  • 1 Feature (18 cars, 30 laps), caution laps do not count
  • A driver’s best six weeks will count towards the championship standings (one drop week)

The top 20 drivers in the Qualifying Series standings that meet qualification requirements and are in good standing with iRacing will be accepted into the 2021 iRacing World of Outlaws NOS Energy Sprint Car World Championship. Click here to read the 2021 series document.
