2025-26 eNASCAR College iRacing Series | Sunset Splash | Week 1 Tournament Preview
April 15th, 2026 by Justin Melillo
The sixth and final eNASCAR College iRacing Series Tournament, powered by the PlayVS College League, kicks off on Wednesday night at a track well-known for crowning champions—Homestead-Miami Speedway. The Tournament. dubbed the Sunset Splash, includes 120 collegiate competitors that are set to run the gauntlet, with the First and Second rounds of the Tournament showcasing all of the qualified drivers and their schools, with only 39 drivers advancing to Week 2, which will include the Semifinals and Final Round.
From March 31st to April 9th, over 190 eligible collegiate iRacers took to the official Time Attack in hopes of qualifying for the sixth eNASCAR College iRacing Series Tournament. These students collectively put down about 14,000 laps around the 1.5-mile intermediate. Sacramento State’s Dylan Ault laid down the fastest lap in the official Time Attack with a time of 33.557 seconds.
The first week of the final Tournament of the season will stream live on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. ET at eNASCAR.com/live and across all of iRacing’s social media channels.
ENTRY LIST
The 120 qualified drivers are listed in the article below:
2025-26 eNASCAR College iRacing Series | Sunset Splash | Time Attack Results
All three of the Championship contenders (Connor Yeroschak-Calgary, Daniel Faulkingham-Maine Machias, and Logan Clampitt-Cal State Fullerton) are entered into the final Tournament. Yeroschak leads Faulkingham by 27 points and Clampitt by 29. Points are not awarded in Week 1, so all three will need to make sure they advance to the Semifinals next week at least to have the ability to score points.
Should Yeroschak make it to the Final Round, he will need to finish 23rd to secure the championship. If he doesn’t, the door opens up for Faulkingham or Clampitt to steal it away.
LAST TOURNAMENT
Last month, eNASCAR made its return to Martinsville Speedway for the Old Dominion Classic, the fifth Tournament of the 2025-26 season. While there were surely a few more moments of chaos sprinkled into the fray, the usual suspects, including the points leader from the University of Calgary, Connor Yeroschak, made their way into the Final Round once more.
It was the California dreamers in control of the opening stint, with Sacramento State’s Dylan Ault leading the way early, but the defending series champion, California State University, Fullerton’s Logan Clampitt hot on his tail. Horry Georgetown’s Timothy Holmes entered the conversation, taking the lead in a three-wide pass at Martinsville, but almost right after that, the caution flew, changing the trajectory of the rest of the race.
Holmes stayed out while the others in the battle for the lead took service. After a few restarts, the move by Holmes to stay out kept looking better and better. However, Yeroschak had moved into the runner-up position, and on the Lap 67 restart, he lunged for the lead and took it. Yeroschak held off the University of Michigan’s Matthew Zwack to take his third Tournament win of the season.
TRACK INFO
The old saying, “it’s an ill wind that blows no good,” could be appropriately applied to Homestead-Miami Speedway. In the wake of Hurricane Andrew in August, 1992, South Florida racing promoter Ralph Sanchez began organizing construction of the region’s first major-league motorsports facility as part of the reconstruction of the devastated Homestead community.
With more than a thousand palm trees and a Caribbean color scheme, the facility projects a South Beach flavor that distinguishes Homestead-Miami from other major race tracks in America. The track opened in 1995, was reconfigured in 1997, and then reconfigured once again in 2003 to the current version we know and love today.
Longtime host to NASCAR’s season finale for the top-three National Series, the 1.5-mile variable-banked Homestead-Miami oval has also hosted IndyCar and IMSA events. SCCA amateur races and CSS motorcycle races also take place on the road circuit. The venue was the championship finale up until 2019, but in 2026, it returns to its former place on the calendar.
ABOUT THE SERIES
The eNASCAR College iRacing Series powered by PlayVS College League gives college students from the United States and Canada the opportunity to compete for their share of $60,000 in scholarships. Using the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series vehicles, 120 drivers qualify for each Tournament by registering and posting their fastest lap times in the Time Attack through the iRacing UI. With hundreds of colleges and universities represented in each Time Attack, drivers are competing not only against the greater iRacing community, but also their own classmates, for a spot on the newly-minted bracket.
Week 1 of the Sunset Splash starts on Wednesday, April 15th, at 7:00 p.m. ET. Week 2 will take place one week later, on Wednesday, April 22nd.
The 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series powered by PlayVS College League will begin later this summer, with the first Tournament slated for September 23rd and September 30th, with Time Attacks lasting from the 15th to the 20th prior. More details on that format and how to register and qualify will be announced as we move closer to the new season.
