2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series | Peachtree Pursuit at EchoPark | Week 1 Recap

100 students entered the first week of the Peachtree Pursuit—the first Tournament of the 2026-27 eNASCAR College iRacing Series presented by Logitech G—at EchoPark Speedway on Wednesday night. After two groups took on the Quarterfinal Round and Semifinal Round, only 40 students remain with a chance to win the Final Round and the overall Tournament.

In Group 1, Connor Trifari, representing the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, was able to hold on against the likes of the No. 1 seed entering the night, California State University, Sacramento’s Dylan Ault, for the opening victory and the first 10 points of the season. Over in Group 2, the defending champion of the series, the University of Calgary’s Connor Yeroschak brought it home in first for the other 10 point payout on the night, just ahead of the University of Houston’s Abraham Vela.

Trifari’s school, UNC Charlotte, managed to transfer six of their 14 students from the first week over to Week 2. Bowling Green State University entered with five students into the Quarterfinals, and leaving the Semifinals will have two students left. All other schools that have transferred to the Final Round only have one student left, including Ball State with Daniel Nanney, Jalen Atkins with Belmont Abbey, and Eastern Shore with Arron Brown, all those schools entering the night with more than one driver.

Many other familiar names, such as Bradley Erickson from Arizona State, Timothy Holmes from Horry-Georgetown, Nick Luetje from Purdue Indianapolis, Maverick Davis from Kettering, Adam Garza from Triton, Jonathan Evans from Western Connecticut, and Layne Graves from Wichita State are all heading to the Final Round. While EchoPark is more flat out than it used to be, the 39 drivers not named Connor Yeroschak will have their work cut out trying to win their first Tournament.

Some big name schools that qualified for the Week 1 festivities are completely out, including Alabama, Oklahoma, Clemson, Texas at Austin, Texas Tech, and Georgia, to name a few. Michigan is one of the big names continuing on, but with a different driver behind the wheel—Joonsuh Lim—as opposed to the last few seasons that have been contested and won at points by Matthew Zwack. The same can be said for Liberty University, that school previously driven for by students like Malachi Drake now represented by Jayden Browder.

A good number of students made their debut on Wednesday night, besides Lim and Browder, that will also be advancing to the Final Round. Van Drugmand and Austin Peay State University made their way through on their first attempt, as did Brian Mercurio racing for DeSales, Zander McKinney at Bowling Green, Miles Bagley at Georgia CSU, Diego Roldan for Mt. San Jacinto, Nathan Barrows for NC State, Jacob Malone with Saint Leo, Mathew Blaine with Kent State, Jacob Wilkerson at Tarrant County, Wesley Persson at Fraser Valley, and a quartet from UNC Charlotte in Aiden McFarland, Bryan Holland, John Babineau, and Shawn Hillkewicz.

Points were on the line for the first time in Week 1 of the two-week format. In both groups, the top-10 were awarded points for their finishing spot in the Semifinals. It is worth noting, for any reason those points-earning drivers don’t show up for Week 2 and the Final Round, these Semifinal points are forfeited. Trifari and Yeroschak will lead the Student Standings entering the Final Round.

Of the 34 schools that will be in the Final Round, 10 will also be competing in the School Championship. 16 students won’t just be competing for themselves. Arizona State (Erickson), Ball State (Nanney), Belmont Abbey (Atkins), Bowling Green (Salyer, McKinney). Eastern Shore (Brown), Kent State (Blaine), Liberty (Browder), Purdue Indy (Luetje), Calgary (Yeroschak), and UNC Charlotte (McFarland, Wynn, Holland, Trifari, Babineau, Hillkewicz) are all eligible this round to score points in the School Championship.

The highest finishing student from Bowling Green and UNC Charlotte will be factored into the final point tally, the highest finishing school scoring a win’s amount of points, the second place school scoring second place points and so forth. For example, Yeroschak could finish 20th and if he finished ahead of every other school in contention, Calgary would get the maximum amount of points.

PEACHTREE PURSUIT | WEEK 2 ADVANCING DRIVERS

Next week, the Peachtree Pursuit will conclude with the Final Round—a 100 lap race with all 40 trucks on track—at EchoPark Speedway. The winner of the race will earn 55 points, while second will get 35, each place after that going down by a single point until it becomes a single point, reminiscent of the current day NASCAR points system. The Tournament winner will collect $3,000 and be one step closer to fighting for the ultimate prize of $10,000 for winning the championship later in the Spring semester.
