2026 Porsche Esports Supercup World Championship Series | Race #2 | Silverstone Circuit | Preview

The Porsche Esports Supercup World Championship Series continues this Saturday, September 26th, featuring 32 of the best sim racers around the globe. Next up, the competition heads to Silverstone in the United Kingdom for the second round of the five-round season.
Last week, two familiar names scored victories in the Sprint and Main races at Spa-Francorchamps. Will those two—Florian Lebigre and Charlie Collins—continue to lead the way in the fight for the title? Will their teammates from Verstappen Sim Racing or Coanda Esports step up to challenge? Or can anyone else claw their way into the conversation before it’s too late?
Live streaming of the events will begin on Saturday at 19:00 GMT (3:00 p.m. ET) via Porsche’s channels on YouTube and Twitch.
LAST RACE | LEBIGRE, COLLINS SPLIT WINS, CO-LEAD CHAMPIONSHIP AFTER SPA
One week ago, the season started off strong with a solid outing in Spa. Florian Lebigre was fastest in qualifying, and proved his quickness in race pace as well by dominating the Sprint race. Unfortunately, that meant he would fall back to eighth starting spot for the Main race, while his teammate, Gustavo Ariel, would transfer to the front. Ariel looked to have similar pace at the front of the field, leading the majority of the way in the 30-minute feature.
However, on the final lap, Ariel slipped up going through Eau Rouge and Raidillon, and that put the ball in Charlie Collins’ court. Collins and his teammate, Mitchell deJong, were both able to sneak by for the 1-2 finish as Ariel slipped back to finish third. Lebigre fought back up to finish in sixth, and as a result, both he and Collins co-lead the standings after the first round and heading into Silverstone.
LAST TIME AT SILVERSTONE | JOB, SÁNCHEZ VICTORIOUS BACK IN 2022
It’s been four seasons since the Porsche Esports Supercup took on the Silverstone Circuit. On that March day, two names still very much in the championship conversation today were victorious in respective Sprint and Main races. Sebastian Job claimed the pole position and dominated the Sprint race, but he would be inverted to eighth for the Main. By finishing eighth in the Sprint, Alejandro Sánchez moved up to the pole for the Main, and held off Charlie Collins for the victory.
SILVERSTONE CIRCUIT TRACK FACTS
The “Home of British Motor Racing.” Silverstone Circuit’s current layout is one of the longest in its storied history, which includes the first-ever race of the Formula One World Driver’s Championship in 1950. Two years later, Frolian Gonzales gave Ferrari its first-ever F1 victory there, and the rest is history. In the nearly seven decades that have followed, the former World War II air base has become one of the world’s legendary motorsport venues.
Located in the English midlands, northwest of London and in the middle of the British motorsports industry, the facility that each year hosts the British Grand Prix bears scant resemblance to the original circuit that was made up of linked runways. Silverstone is host each year to a myriad of road racing classes, ranging from Formula One to Formula Ford in the open-wheel category, and numerous sports and GT series including the European Le Mans Series, British GT Championship, touring car and club racing.
Though the facility has little in the way of elevation changes as a former air base, for much of its history Silverstone was known for its ultra-fast sweeping corners and fast average speeds. Though the requirements of modern Formula One forced the addition of chicanes and other devices to slow speeds down from the insane to the merely ridiculous, the track retains many of the characteristics that originally made it famous.
