Allmendinger Captures Sprint Cup Pole at The Glen

AJ Allmendinger repeated his 2015 qualifing performance on The Sprint Cup Series Road Courses when he won the Coors Light Pole Award for the 30th Annual Cheez-It 355 at Watkins Glen International. His second Pole of this season follows his June performance in Sonoma, California. Allmendingers fourth career pole was a lap of 68.993 seconds for and average speed of 127.839 mph around the 2.45 miles NASCAR section of the course. Hopes for the team are that the momentum will carry over and allow him to repeat last years winning performance and give him entry into The Chase for the Sprint Cup.
