intel-gp-masters-logoTen iRacers qualified for the Asia/Australia Intel GP Series Finals during the Asia/Australia Regionals at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, November 16-22.  The ten top point-getters include Tatsuro Hashimoto (Club International) and Marc Beeson, Danny Davidson, Ian Lake, Darren Marsh, Luke McLean, Mitchell McLeod, John Pickett, Jamie Rosenzweig and Jonathan Salhani (all from Club Australia).

The ten finalists will square-off in the Asia/Australia Intel GP Series Finals on Sunday, December 12.  The online racing competition will feature Star Mazdas racing over 20 laps at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, with the top two finishers moving on to the Intel GP World Finals. Scheduled for March 3, 2011 at Cebit in Hannover, Germany the Intel GP Series Finals will feature ten finalists from America, Europe and Asia/Australia.

Earlier this year, the European and American regionals saw sim racers Ray Alfalla (Florida), Wyatt Gooden (Ohio), Jason Lisner (Virginias) and Jake Stergios (New England) qualify from America and Bastian Bartsch (France), Greger Huttu (Scandinavia), Richard Towler (England) and David Williams (England) earn the right to represent Europe in the finals competition.

Part of the Intel Extreme Masters Tournament, the Intel GP Series World Finals pits the world’s top sim racers against each other on brand new Playseat Evolution Racing chassis and using Logitech G27 steering wheel/pedal sets.  At stake will be $17,900 in prizes and the title of Intel GP Series World Champion.
