The Monster Mile was the site of racing for Week Nine of the season. Sim racers traveled to Dover International Speedway to take the 1 mile concrete oval. Week Nine is the first week in which drop weeks come into effect. For the week, 517 drivers attempted at least one race while 147 drivers attempted at least one lap in qualifying.

Friday night’s Strength of Field race took place at the normal time slot, 8:30pm EST. The race featured a full field of 30 drivers and had an SoF of 5169. Simon Crochart (France) started from the pole and dominated early in the race. Crochart lead the first 47 laps of the race before losing the lead to Dylan Duval (Eastern Canada) on lap 48. Duval would dominate the final half of the race, leading 47 laps including the final lap. Duval scored 331 points for the win. Josh Laughton (California) would finish the race in the second position after starting eighth. Laughton scored 319 points for second. Carson Downs (California) and Byron Daley (New York) finished third and fourth and scored 308 and 296 points respectively. Rounding out the Top Five in the finishing order was Garrett Grant (Massachusetts). Grant scored 285 points for his finish. Point’s leader Richard Dusett (New England) was the only other driver to lead a lap, leading six in total before being caught in a wreck. Dusett finished 15th and scored 171 points.

Even though he had a terrible Week Nine, Dusett was able to add to his point lead. Dusett added 171 points at Dover and now has a total of 1962 points. Matthew Wright2 (New York) now sits in the second position in the season standings. Wright scored 278 points at during Week Nine and brought his total to 1773 points, 190 points out of first. Joe Holt (Mid-South) moved into the third position in the standings. Holt has a total of 1718 points. Alex Scribner (Texas) and Aleksi Elomaa (Findland) round out the Top Five in the season standings. Scribner scored 193 points at Dover and now has a total of 1710 points. Elomaa scored 255 during Week Nine and brought his season total to 1664 points.

Crochart turned the fastest lap of the week in qualifying after turning a 22.786 second lap. Justin Brooks (Carolina) finished the week in the second position in qualifying with a 22.803 second lap. Duval finished the week in the third position with a 22.814 second lap while Alan J Elwood (Ohio) finished the week in the fourth position with a 22.836 second lap. Rounding out the Top Five for the week was Scribner, who turned a 22.872 second lap.

For Week 10 of the season, the NiCBS series will travel to the mecca of stock car race, Daytona International Speedway.
