eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Race Preview: Las Vegas

The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series returns on Tuesday night with race #2 of the 2024 season at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

40 of the top-ranked eNASCAR drivers are set to take on the 1.5-mile oval for the 15th time in series history. Past winners at the track include Michael Conti, Jimmy Mullis, and Ryan Luza. Luza is the winningest driver at the facility, earning four victories from 2017 to 2021, the first three all in a row.

Race coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET at eNASCAR.com/live and across iRacing social media channels. Tune in 30 minutes earlier to catch the Countdown to Green at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Last Race: Two weeks ago, the series took on Daytona International Speedway to open the 2024 season. Bobby Zalenski (Joe Gibbs Racing) led the field to the white flag, but Wyatt Tinsley (QuikTrip Pioneers Gaming) and Steven Wilson (M80) were in position to strike entering Turn 3. With Wilson pushing his water and oil temps to the max, the duo cleared by the end of the corner. Malik Ray (Spire Motorsports) took a shot to win, but Tinsley managed his first career victory in the series, two weeks after winning the Daytona Clash exhibition race.

Last Year: Michael Conti’s “It’s Been Gr8” retirement tour included two trips to victory lane in 2023. His final career victory resides at the Las Vegas venue one year ago. Jordy Lopez led early, but could not stop the Conti train, relinquishing the lead on Lap 24. Malik Ray utilized pit strategy to take the lead, but could not hold off Conti. He still managed a top-10 finish. Nick Ottinger laid on the pressure late, but Conti held strong to score what would be his final win ever in eNASCAR competition.

Track Facts: Las Vegas Motor Speedway’s 1.5-mile tri-oval opened in 1996, welcomed its first NASCAR Xfinity Series race in 1997, and added a NASCAR Cup Series race in March 1998. The speedway was reconfigured in 2006, with progressive banking up to 20 degrees in its corners to increase side-by-side racing. Like many other Speedway Motorsports facilities, Las Vegas Motor Speedway includes a drag strip and dirt oval on-site, as well as roval configurations and even a paved short track called “The Bullring”.

Next Race: Following Las Vegas, Atlanta Motor Speedway takes stage for the third race of the 2024 eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series season on March 12. Another drafting track, Atlanta will see pack racing on its 1.54-mile quad-oval speedway. This will be the first points-paying race that will utilize a fixed setup this year.
