The eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series takes on Talladega Superspeedway on Tuesday night. 40 of the top-ranked eNASCAR drivers are set for three, four, and possibly five-wide pack racing action in the seventh race of the 2024 season. 70 laps are scheduled around the 2.66-mile oval.

Race coverage begins at 8 p.m. ET at eNASCAR.com/live and across iRacing social media channels. Tune in 30 minutes earlier to catch the Countdown to Green at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Last Race: Two weeks ago at Dover Motor Speedway, it all came down to a final restart in eNASCAR Overtime. William Byron eSports’ Tucker Minter had assumed the lead earlier, but M80’s Steven Wilson was going to be tough to hold off. JR Motorsports’ Kaden Honeycutt got in on the action too, but slipped back in the closing moments. Minter and Wilson traded virtual paint on a few occasions, but it was Wilson who wound up on top, winning his second race of the season so far.

Last Year: Fans might remember what was almost Malik Ray’s first win last season. Off of Turn 4 in the 2023 Talladega event, Ray put himself in the right spot to take the lead coming to the line. However, Casey Kirwan, his future teammate, would not be denied. As they rounded the tri-oval, Kirwan shot out of line and took a massive push from Collin Bowden. The forceful bump was enough for Kirwan to steal the win, his first of the season, leaving Ray still wondering when his first would come. (Spoiler alert: it came at Atlanta earlier this year.)

Track Facts: Envisioned by NASCAR founder Bill France Sr. to be even bigger and faster than Daytona International Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway opened in 1969 and has hosted the NASCAR Cup Series ever since. Renowned for its high speeds, Buddy Baker became the first driver in NASCAR history to turn a 200 mile per hour lap at the track in 1970, and Bill Elliott set NASCAR’s all-time qualifying record at Talladega with a speed of 212.809 mph in 1987. Talladega is also known for producing many first-time winners, such as Richard Brickhouse in its inaugural race, and lead changes, sometimes with dozens of drivers leading laps.

Next Race: After Talladega, the series will return again in two weeks’ time for the eighth race of the 2024 season at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Last season, Tucker Minter held on for his second career victory in a heavily contested finish.
