All-Star Event from Rockingham Speedway to Air Live at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn. — August 29, 2019 — The eNASCAR All-Star competition returns to NASCAR America this Thursday live at 5 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The race will feature all-star drivers from the eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze iRacing Series, plus current NASCAR driver and NBC Sports analyst Parker Kligerman, competing at the virtual Rockingham Speedway.

NASCAR America’s Krista Voda, Parker Kligerman, and AJ Allmendinger will host along with iRacing team owner Steve Letarte, who will join for pre-and post-race commentary from NBC Sports’ Charlotte studio. Kligerman, also an iRacing team owner, will be racing from the NBC Sports simulator in Stamford, Conn.

“The return of iRacing eNASCAR action to live television on NBCSN for a second All-Star race provides viewers with a unique outlet to enjoy simulator racing at its best,” said Jeff Behnke, Vice President of NASCAR Production, NBC Sports. “The growth and popularity is impressive on many fronts, and with a variety of NBC announcers moonlighting as owners, fans will get first-hand, expert analysis during the broadcast.”

“Working with NASCAR and NBC Sports to bring live iRacing eNASCAR competition to national television has been incredible,” said iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations president Tony Gardner. “The response to our first race earlier this year was fantastic, and we’re looking for a similar buzz this week as we return to NASCAR America.”

“This week’s eNASCAR iRacing All-Star event at the historic Rockingham Speedway will deliver unique and entertaining content for our fans,” said Tim Clark, senior vice president and chief digital officer, NASCAR. “NBC Sports has a highly-engaged audience of NASCAR fans and our esports initiatives continue to drive interest and anticipation for the coming race weekend.”

The eNASCAR PEAK Antifreeze iRacing Series features entries from a mix of real-world NASCAR teams like JR Motorsports, Wood Brothers Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, and Roush Fenway Racing, as well as professional eSports teams and personalities like NBC Sports analysts Kligerman, Jeff Burton, and Steve Letarte and NFL player Kyle Long. The first iRacing eNASCAR All-Star race featuring these drivers and teams took place in July at the virtual Iowa Speedway, where JTG Daugherty Racing’s Nick Ottinger beat Flipsid3 Tactics’ Ryan Luza to the line in a photo finish.

Thursday’s iRacing eNASCAR All-Star race will feature drivers competing from around the world. G2 Esports drivers Keegan Leahy and Jarl Teien will be based at the ADAC SimRacing Expo, held in the shadows of the world-famous Nurburgring in Germany. Kligerman, meanwhile, will compete from the NBC Sports studios in Connecticut, racing the same iRacing simulator he regularly uses to demonstrate the nuances of various tracks during NASCAR America segments.

On July 23rd, NBC, NASCAR and iRacing announced their multi-race partnership that will culminate in a championship program later this year.
